more than happen to accommodate us.
Menu is short and concise, with semi-elevated bar food, and still good tavern classics. Pimento dip was awesome. Giant pretzel came with one of the best kinds of beer cheese. Portions were awesome and prices were extremely reasonable. I’m also not a big fan of most tiny breweries, but all of the beer I tried from them must’ve been catered just to me because I loved both of them lol.
The food isn’t anything over the top crazy, but everything about this place is really solid, so definitely 5 stars cause I can’t think of any reason not to keep going back.
5 of us enjoyed a fantastic lunch on a Friday afternoon. The restaurant was busy but we were greeted & seated quickly. I will also add that drink orders and food came quickly as well (impressive considering they were fairly busy).
The food quality was outstanding!! The ham and bean soup alone was worth the drive from Atlanta! I had the salmon as my entree and it was one of the best I’ve ever had.
Finally,…..the service was also outstanding. I think our server might have been a manager or the owner. She could not have been any more pleasant and engaging!
Overall….a wonderful experience. Looking forward to returning!!
Got dill chips, brussels, and salmon. Fellow diner got fish and chips.
The dill chips is pretty good, albeit very heavy. It’s lays-style chips (I don’t think they’re seratoga or house made) dusted with dill seasoning which is good. The dip is, I believe, a cream cheese- based dip with big pieces of onion. Love the onion, but there were some pretty massive chonks of cream cheese to chop up.
The brussels were interesting, also very rich and sweet. I did get a miso-heavy bite and I really liked it.
The salmon was cooked well, and its served atop a bed of incredibly heavy, creamy risotto. The sauce is great!
We did order too mich food – portion sizes are good here. But I will say they make food you can anchor a boat with!
I would say this is a solid local pub with reliable food that is just adventurous enough to still be traditional. Wasnt bad – recommend for large portions, heavy dishes and house-made brews. Oh, and love of dogs.
Our server did an excellent job. She struck the perfect balance of being there when we needed her without hovering or being pushy. She gave us space to talk and catch up.
The dining room had a moderate noise level, but we could still understand each other easily. I have some hearing difficulty, and I could still carry a conversation without much trouble. The only downside was the seating—the chairs weren’t very comfortable, though still tolerable.
They also have an outdoor patio dining area, and I’m really looking forward to coming back in the summer to try that out.
Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d be happy to come back. The only thing I’d recommend is planning ahead for parking if you’re not familiar with the area. It took me several minutes to figure out where to go, and since we were there on a Friday evening, everything was busy. Give yourself a 15–20 minute cushion to find a spot. There is free public parking north of the brewery during certain hours, so check into that before you go.
We visited a few weeks ago on a weeknight. The food was excellent. I ordered a salad with steak and my husband ordered a burger. The meat was cooked as ordered and high-quality. The service was excellent. The restaurant was clean, cozy, nicely decorated, and had well-maintained bathrooms. Great experience and we will definitely return.
