Ok, I’m super picky and there’s no way this shouldn’t be a 5 or super high 4. THIS — this is what an all-American cheeseburger is supposed to be like. The beef is great, seasoned just right and cooked to order perfectly. It’s just exactly the way I want a classic cheeseburger to taste, perfect flat top grilling with cheese melting into the beef perfectly, nestled in a soft classic bun. Simple, classic. Pictured here is the double cheeseburger. Next trip there, I’m trying the dog and fries as well. I love this place, SUPER clean, safe, and the people are great and take pride in their store. There is ZERO doubt the owner invests time and effort in a safe, great and predictable experience. NOT to forget to mention, the gas is super clean and ethanol-free, at no additional premium for the ethanol-free. It’s always where I fill up when stopping through. This is a true neighborhood store. You can feel good about your family stopping in. It’s my go-to for any trip through Florence. If I lived there, I’d be 3 three times a week, and eating burgers on the sly. Do NOT miss their cheeseburger, it’s the sleeper of the century. SPOT ON!

I was hesitant after reading some of the reviews of this place but opted to give it a try. Sis, their house made, hand-cut, french fries are absolutely amazing. I asked for mine well-done, extra crispy, and they more than obliged my request. I was taking my order home to eat, and I know that sealing crispy fries into a Styrofoam container can make them soggy, so I went ahead and opened up a little to allow it to vent on the way. They were still amazing when I reached home.
The burger, which I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger, was huge. I was expecting two very thin patties, and I could not have been more wrong. They were cooked well, very flavorful, and the order was prepared exactly as I requested. The only thing that I am not a huge fan of is their bun which has a bit of sweet taste.
This place is seriously underrated.

This place has delicious cheeseburgers, hot off the grill, and hand cut fries. The interior of the place is very clean and is nice to sit in and enjoy your meal. The staff is so friendly and welcoming & seem to know everyone by name. What a great place! I’ll be back, for sure.

The cashier that was there today is lacking all customer service skills. Straight up Kurt with me and was totally rude to a man that came in after me. He actually walked right back out after she said, “I just work here”. I was scared to even ask her for ketchup for my fries after how she snarled at me during my order which was $17.50 for a cheeseburger, fries, and one pork chop. I didn’t even get a drink. When I returned to work I was asking for ketchup and told coworkers and they said, “oh, I know exactly which one”. If they know, then management knows. We cannot be the only ones who’s felt her bad vibes just for purchasing things there. It’s unacceptable to be so rude that customers are afraid to ask for things they specifically came in there to buy.

Food would be good, if it wasn’t for how salty it was. The fries had so much salt we couldn’t even finish them. The burger was over salted as well but not as bad. We paid 30 dollars total for all that food just to throw 80 percent of it away which was a big waste of money. If I’m paying money for food I want to be able to eat it.

Cashier was very pleasant. I ordered a full hot dog box and a cheeseburger box to go. I ordered extra onions on the cheeseburger but did not get them. Could not eat the french fries in either box because they were burnt soggy and tough like they had been cooked 2 days ago Re cooked and burnt and sat there to get tough. I will not be back. I would rather drive all the way out to the Sunrise Restaurant where are the food is freshly cooked . wish I could post a picture of the sorry wasted

Close the grill at 2:00! My husband left at 3:00 to get two double cheeseburger boxes and tenders which they did not have. It is now 4:06 and two of the cheeseburger boxes fries are cold, he was charged for someone else’s meal although was reimbursed for that. This is why I personally stop going to this establishment at least 3 years ago. There’s absolutely no excuse for the lack of service preparedness and attentiveness which led him to spend over 50 minutes waiting for food.

The burgers here used to be so good but something happened. The last two burgers I got the meat did not taste right. There used to be thin sliced onion now its thick slab. There is so much mustard you can barely taste the tainted meat. Just when I was thinking it was just my taste buds that had the meat tasting funny I took another bite and hit the whole salt and pepper shaker in one small bite of the burger. This experience happened twice before I said never again.

I’ve been eating Old Delmae’s cheeseburgers and fries for years. They are awesome! The burgers are handmade patties and cooked fresh as you wait. The fries are fresh cut and my favorite of any in town. Whenever I want a great burger I will go out of my way to get one at Old Delmae. Today, I decided to order something different from my norm and got the handmade beer battered chicken tenders and homemade onion rings. I now have a new favorite! On another note, their breakfasts are great too. They have the best egg and cheese sandwiches and they will make them how you want them. I can honestly say that I have never had a meal from here that has disappointed!
