Server was slow and almost non existent. Food was barely warm when brought to the table. Pizza had a good taste but was cool and mostly chewy. Ordered a medium well burger and got a well done/burnt burger. Meatballs on spaghetti had a bunch of burnt spots and although had good flavor were quite salty. Spent $72 for extremely mediocre food and horrible service! Will never go back! (Independence MO location)

Visiting from out of town and stopped in for dinner on a Friday evening. You would think service would be important on a busy Friday night, however it wasn’t. After waiting 10 minutes for someone to get our drink orders, the bartender (sweet lady) could tell we were getting impatient so she came to take our drink orders and tried to get one of her coworkers to come take our food orders but no one ever came. After delivering our drink orders she took our food orders and got everything going all the while maintaining the bar area and everyone she was serving there. Every other server that was on shift sat in a booth and never moved the whole time we were there. One of the worst servers experiences I have ever seen. If it wasn’t for the bartender we would have left. Only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the sweet lady who made sure to take care of us while her coworkers sat around watching her work.

Worst food, service ever. I’ve got the worst waitress. Ordered $10.99 deal that they have going on. Got charged $11.99 instead $10.99. Also my husband ordered same deal with specialty pizza with up charge of $2 Got charged $14.99 instead of $12.99. Starting with my husband ordering beer. It got to our table abt 20 mins after the ordering. Appetizer took abt 15 mins to come in. Our dinner took about an hour to get to our table and even she got our order wrong after receiving. All that happened but no apology or no consideration. They were not even that busy when we were there. Hope the management trains their waiters little bit better.

Old Chicago Pizza Joint delivered a really fun night out. The service was phenomenal, with a staff that stayed on top of everything and kept things moving without a hitch. The food was pretty darn good, from the pizzas to the appetizers, and hit exactly what you want from a casual spot like this. The beers were flowing nicely, with plenty of options to choose from, and the overall vibe made it easy to relax and enjoy ourselves. All in all, it was a great place to hang out and have a good time.

However, we selected a specific crust, and they gave us a different one instead, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, we noticed that happy hour items were charged at full price, so I recommend double-checking your receipt.

I sent this feedback using the Contact Us option on Old Chicago’s website almost a week ago and have heard nothing back.
Upon arriving, we were seated at a table but were not acknowledged for ten minutes. Eventually, we moved to the bar when seats became available, hoping for better service. However, even there, the service was slow, and we were only able to place one happy hour drink order due to the delays.
Additionally, we ordered the Buffalo-style pepperoni rolls, which arrived nearly burnt on the outside yet had raw dough inside (attached photo for reference). Given how much we usually enjoy your food, this was especially disappointing. We’ve also noticed during recent visits that the restaurant appears visibly short-staffed, and the food tends to arrive lukewarm and underwhelming.
On top of that, the last couple of times we’ve visited, we’ve been surprised to find that nearly half of the tap beer selection was unavailable. Since your beer selection is a big part of what makes Old Chicago a go-to spot for us, this has been frustrating.
I was especially excited for this visit because I had my free pizza birthday reward to use. Instead of feeling like a special treat, the experience left me feeling pretty bummed out. I’m not reaching out for compensation, but rather to bring attention to these issues. With how expensive dining out has become, it’s frustrating to leave feeling like the experience wasn’t worth the cost.

I was extremely disappointed with our visit to Old Chicago tonight. This restaurant is one of our favorite places to go, but I don’t think we will be back any time soon. We always get the Italian nachos appetizer, but this time it came out with like 15 chips and minimal toppings. Next, our pizza came out looking extremely pathetic. Extremely thin, with very little toppings. My son also ordered the chicken tenders which is considered an appetizer, they looked disgusting and his fries were extremely undercooked, so much so that we asked for them to be replaced. I have added a photo of the pizza for reference, but it doesn’t even do it justice how pathetic it actually looked. Super disappointed.

What a complete let down. Seated and left for 10 min before being greeted, while others seated after us were warmly hugged…clearly family or friends. That should have been our cue to leave. We ordered an appetizer that took 15 min to be served. Again, the server and the kitchen staff that delivered our food, kept hanging out at another table chatting it up with the person that came after us. The food was blah, nothing like I remember from past visits. Clearly this is a place for regulars, otherwise they don’t appreciate new customers. We won’t be back.
