I ate here a couple of years ago in 2022.. I got the chicken at the time. I visited this place in person. This time I got the brisket plate it’s delicious. Says cooked for 22 hrs on the website on Uber Eats. The sides are alright Mac and cheese and potato salad. The brisket is good. I can taste the seasoning on it. The fat on the slices make it taste good also. The sauce is boss and they give you 2 slices of bread. I knew that the brisket was going to be delicious when I saw it in butcher paper iykyk. That’s a good thing not a red flag. The brisket is sliced right also not thick like roast beef. I got my food on 12/8/2025.. Pull up and check them out or get you some food through Uber Eats.

Old Brick BBQ Pit

Stopped by Old Brick BBQ Pit recently, hoping for a great BBQ experience, but overall it was a bit marginal. The flavors were okay, but the meats lacked that deep smoke and tenderness that make BBQ truly special. Service was friendly enough, and the place has a decent atmosphere — but for the price, I was expecting a little more.

I suggest the pit master visit Stilleswitch BBQ in Austin or locally Heirloom BBQ for representation of exceptional #smokedmeats. For around $40, I excepted a different culinary experience.

Sometimes it’s not just about the meal — it’s about the whole experience, and that’s where those two spots really shine.

Great BBQ in an authentic southern bbq spot setting . The sandwich was delicious , a bit small , but for the low price , more than fair . I love the vinegar based sauce .
Mac & Cheese tasted like my Mom could have made it .
The Brunswick stew wasn’t exactly my favorite style , but still very good .
This place offer great food quickly for a really great price .
Can’t wait to come back and try the ribs and brisket .
I got my wife a to go plate of a half chicken and collards . Will update when she eats it .

Another great barbecue joint in a very crowded field. I had the rib plate with collards and potato salad, my wife had a pulled pork sandwich and coleslaw. Barbecue is great and the sides were outstanding, some of the best we have done. The sandwich seemed a little small. Staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming.

This place considers 3 small ribs a half rack. Their sides are equally microscopic. The quality is at best mediocre. For such high prices its outrageous to have such insulting portion sizes. Ribs are literally just wadded in some tinfoil.

Back in Chamblee for dinner at a spot that feels like it has anchored the neighborhood for decades. As soon as I stepped out of the car, the scent of slow-cooked meat drifted through the air and I knew I was in for something special.

I went with the brisket, cole slaw, and collards. Skipped the bread. The brisket was tender and flavorful, not oversized and not greasy. Every bite had depth and richness, and it was so soft I could slice it with the edge of the plastic fork. It practically dissolved.

Even at 6pm, the cole slaw held its crunch and had a touch of sweetness that balanced the plate. The collards were a standout—tangy, savory, and loaded with bits of meat that added texture and soul. I finished everything. Not a scrap left.

They do offer a small pot of sauce. It was good. But honestly, the brisket didn’t need it. It was already juicy and full of flavor.

A TRUE American bbq restaurant that serves delicious meat and great bbq sauce. My go to is the brisket plate and I’ve never been disappointed. It has that warm bbq family feel that I often crave!

The Old Brick Pit Barbecue in Chamblee, GA is a long-time favorite. My favorite is the BBQ pork plate, which includes Brunswick stew and cole slaw. My wife prefers the 1/2 chicken plate or the bbq sandwich with cole slaw.
Beef biscuit is available and it’s great! If you can’t go to Texas, eat it here.
We like Old Brick Pit because the meat is clean and high quality. The sides (beans, potato salad, and slaw) are consistently good. Deserts are banana pudding and fruit cobbler. I recommend the pudding.
Prices are reasonable and parking is free.

Excellent service in a well kept space. The economical price of a meal here makes it worth multiple visits. The pulled pork sandwich was good. The pork itself was very tender and seasoned nicely. The bun I feel could improve as it isn’t up to the task of holding all of the juices and sauce. The barbecue sauce is nice and vinegar-y with flavors of paprika, onion and a bit of spiciness. The coleslaw is excellent. Overall I had a very pleasant experience.
