Old Brick BBQ Pit
Stopped by Old Brick BBQ Pit recently, hoping for a great BBQ experience, but overall it was a bit marginal. The flavors were okay, but the meats lacked that deep smoke and tenderness that make BBQ truly special. Service was friendly enough, and the place has a decent atmosphere — but for the price, I was expecting a little more.
I suggest the pit master visit Stilleswitch BBQ in Austin or locally Heirloom BBQ for representation of exceptional #smokedmeats. For around $40, I excepted a different culinary experience.
Sometimes it’s not just about the meal — it’s about the whole experience, and that’s where those two spots really shine.

Mac & Cheese tasted like my Mom could have made it .
The Brunswick stew wasn’t exactly my favorite style , but still very good .
This place offer great food quickly for a really great price .
Can’t wait to come back and try the ribs and brisket .
I got my wife a to go plate of a half chicken and collards . Will update when she eats it .
I went with the brisket, cole slaw, and collards. Skipped the bread. The brisket was tender and flavorful, not oversized and not greasy. Every bite had depth and richness, and it was so soft I could slice it with the edge of the plastic fork. It practically dissolved.
Even at 6pm, the cole slaw held its crunch and had a touch of sweetness that balanced the plate. The collards were a standout—tangy, savory, and loaded with bits of meat that added texture and soul. I finished everything. Not a scrap left.
They do offer a small pot of sauce. It was good. But honestly, the brisket didn’t need it. It was already juicy and full of flavor.
Beef biscuit is available and it’s great! If you can’t go to Texas, eat it here.
We like Old Brick Pit because the meat is clean and high quality. The sides (beans, potato salad, and slaw) are consistently good. Deserts are banana pudding and fruit cobbler. I recommend the pudding.
Prices are reasonable and parking is free.
