Long over due review.
After checking into our hotel at the Grand Hyatt Indian wells & resort.
We were hungry especially it being a long drive.
My friends husband Yelped and found this restaurant with great reviews.
Came for dinner 7.18.25
We came in as walk in guest and was able to get seatings within 10 mins of waiting.
The sushi served us really fresh and delicious. Gives a good amount of rolls/food for the pricing.
The restaurant was really nice and has a dark elegant night time vibes. Be a perfect spot for date night for couples or even ladies night out.
Has some cool wall art along w a nice tree that changes colors of the lights in the center of the dining area of the restaurant.
Service is really friendly and we got our food in a timely manner.
Those in town visitors on a trip for a celebration.
FYI ~ received a Complimentary Green tea ice cream for my birthday dinner.
Definitely enjoyed everything here. Would be back if I’m here at Palm Springs or recommend the restaurant to sushi lovers.

Kids were too tired so ended up ordering take out from here. Food was excellent even as take out. We did the Hamachi Carpaccio, Salmon sashimi, Mango Tango, Okura Tempura and Black cod entree. Everything was delicious and nicely plated.

Beautiful inside and well designed. Good is pricey, even with inflation. Good food though and portions are okay sized. Will come again. Just wish was about 15% less in costs as we were afraid to try more food and already $175 for 2 people

Try to make reservations, because they will make you wait even though it seems they have available tables. Hostess issue¿
Servers are nice, warm, and welcoming. Additionally, management is very attentive, so don’t be surprised if she checks on you more than once.
The down side is that it’s a little pricy and they tend to bring all the sushi at once, and being picky; I don’t like when my sushi starts to loose its tenderness.

I went with friends the hostess in the front were friendly and nice they told us 30 minute wait. We waited about 55 minutes but I get it delays happen. What upset me was that we were sat outside my fault for not mentioning I would like to get seated inside. But when we got to the table it was dirty. I called the server over and he mentioned how he saw me pointing so he came with the towel with a bit of sas . Then he wipes the table and I point out where its still dirty. He tells me the table was wiped down but the Eel sauce was hard to clean. If I’m waiting almost a hour for my table I expect it to be clean. Server was weird at first he was acting like me pointing out the stains wasn’t justified. Towards the end he was fine. Food was good.

Normally don’t leave negative reviews but went in at 830pm and wasn’t greeted for 15 minutes just to be told they “closed” at 8pm. For a place that opens at 3pm you would think they could be open for at least 6 hours. Pretty mid for their price points. All I wanted was a quick drink as I know their hours are supposed to be until 9pm. Probably won’t return.

The visuals inside are excellent.
Classy. Clean and artsy.
Food is outstanding.
I got rolls and asked for them to be cucumber wrapped.
I also tried the stuff jalapeño. I did like it.
However I’d swap out the spicy tuna with crab meat instead, add avocado. Trust me.
Would I come here again? It I’m in the area most definitely. There are many other things I’d like to try in the menu.

I can’t say enough bad things about this place. I’ve never felt the need to leave a bad review about a place, but if I could leave no stars I would. From the deception to the mediocre food, this entire establishment is an embarrassment to “fine dining”. If they even try to place your party in the “back room” forget it. It’s just an IKEA dining room replica where if you pay more than $10 a plate it’s a complete waste of your money. Now for the deception. My family ate there and there was a $50+ up charge on our bill. At first it was extra drinks on the bill. But as we look closer, almost every item on the bill was up charged $2-$7. When we were finally able to speak to their “manager”, the only answer he could give was that they’d look into it for next time. Between the service, ambiance, and absolute bold face lies, save your money or better yet go hungry.

This was my go-to place for happy hour. Atmosphere is excellent. Found hair in my jalapeno bomb, hair ln mouth. I did not expect anything or asked for anything but there wasn’t even an acknowledgment or an apology from server.
