Okie Dokie re-opened on December 3, 2025, after rebuilding from the flood damage dealt by Hurricane Helene, and we are so glad they did! This was our first visit. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is exquisite. The house barbecue ranch sauce came recommended by the staff, and they couldn’t have been more right! It paired so well with the jalapeño hush puppies and french fries. Stop by and support this local gem. You will be glad you did.

We had the best time tonight with a group of 13 people at Okie Dokies. Even though its counter service, they put in all of our tickets together so our food came out at the same time. Definitely try the Jalapeño hush puppies. Unfortunately they were out of ribs tonight, but they are one of my favorites. Our group also loved the smoked turkey, which was juicy and flavorful. The owner is a top notch guy who came to the dining room more than once to see if our experience was up to par. I highly recommend Okie Dokies! They are Hurricane Helen survivors and have come back better than ever.

I am so happy that Okie Dokies is back on business. I missed the food. The food is really good and the meat is awesome. My favorite thing is the Hush Puppies! This is why better than a lot of other BBQ in the are! I do recommend the fried pickles because that is also really good.

Glad this is back open after Helen’s storm. But after driving across town to patronize this establishment, wish that I hadn’t.
The food was SUPER GREASY. FF was nothing but grease and okra was greasy and half cooked.
I ordered the Chicken Little tray and chicken tasted like left over from yesterday.
For my meal and a BBQ sandwich, my bill was 32.00.
Rather high, and certainly not a 32.oo meal.
Again, glad they reopened, but I will not make mistake again by eating here.
Highly disappointed.
Could had better meal elsewhere for the cost of this one. But live and learn.

I went for the BBQ chopped pork sandwich. Good stuff. Lots of meat and several choices for sauces. The place is very simple with minimal decor but topical for a Southern BBQ joint. Reasonable price for the quantity of food you get.

Great food and very friendly workers. As we were visiting from out of town, it was a fantastic find. Apparently they just reopened after rebuilding from hurricane Helen and the owner stopped at our table and told us the story. Such a devastating experience. I am so happy this business was able to rebuild. I wish them much success.

I have been a patron for 15 years and was saddened to see the destruction caused by Helene. Was delighted to see its reopening very recently. We went with the expectation of the mouth watering fall off the bone ribs. I guess nothing stays the same. Although the ribs were tasty they are commonplace . The sides were the same but the hush puppies were small and dry. We will give it one more try to see if it was an off day.

Everything here was amazing, the people, the food, the atmosphere. They have silverware, sauces, and to go boxes right up at the front counter so you don’t have to ask. The pulled pork was so good! I tried a variety of sauces and I liked them all. The habanero sauce is probably my favorite, the sweet and tangy and the okie dokies sweet smokehouse sauce were both good too. Everything came on recyclable plates too for easy clean up! Sodas were a little flat but that happens and they had sweet tea, unsweetened tea, and lemonade as well. Everyone there was so sweet!

Highly recommend the Ribs and jalapeño hush puppies. Sauces were very good. Would recommend passing on the chicken breast or drenching it in the hot sauce. Also recommend passing on regular hush puppies in favor of the Jalapeño. I found the chicken bland. Fried pickles were light and tasty! Greens were good but I enjoyed the red slaw thoroughly. Service was great. Staff were all friendly and the place was inviting. Would come back again

We came by here by accident and didn’t regret it. Staff was super friendly, nice and relaxed atmosphere and really good BBQ.
We had the ribs, and they were fantasic. The little one had the Chicken and it was as good as the ribs. I would give 5 stars, but neither the the hushpuppies nor the coleslaw was as good as I hoped.
But again, the meats were really awesome!
