Please do not eat here. the service was terrible and so was the food. trying to call & place an order over the phone was a nightmare so i went in person & it was even worse. half of the things on the menu they didn’t actually have & the 2 ladies taking my order were so stand off ish and rude. my “ collard greens” were canned. choppy and salty like spinach. my mac & cheese was re-heated in front of me. my turkey wings were at least days old & very stiff.. brick hard like chewing a shoe + very greasy. the portions are very small for almost $30 you barely get anything. i’m not a strict person at all when it comes to food & i never leave reviews… but it was just that bad. i will never eat here again

The food I ordered was “LEFTOVER” food. Chewy Oxtail with so taste disgusting. I was the only there and they still messed up my order. I paid for a beef pattie that I never got. Portions were small and the sweet plantain was salty yuck…. (Place need to be closed down honestly)!!!

This was my first time trying African food and I’ve been wanting to try jolloff rice for a really long time it was so good. I also had grilled snapper and 2 vegetable sides everything was so well balanced. I really enjoyed this first experience. I can’t wait to try some of their soups.

I was so excited to experience authentic food from Africa but was sadly disappointed in the lack of respect and curtesy I received. No one greeted us… acknowledged us or even offered a smile. As I ordered my food the cashier turned her nose up and frown between each item I ordered.When our food was ready she didn’t even say anything just stood there staring at me with the bag. It was to the point where I had to ask her like have you had several experiences with Americans that has caused you to have a preconceived notion. In which she replied not really. This food could be absolutely amazing and I would still never return. People work hard for their money and if they choose to spend it in your establishment the least you can do is be courteous.

The food isn’t bad, but only a handful of items were available. The location was empty and the two young ladies were nice. Me and my daughter opted for the edikang ikong (I hope that’s spelled correctly) with fufu and the assorted meats to go. It was the only entree available besides the jolloff rice. We paid an additional $10 each to add meat bringing the dish total to $18 each without tax. When we got back and unwrapped our food to eat there was barely any meat. It was what looked like a couple as in TWO pieces of meat at the bottom of the dish. Yeah…. we had to search for the meat. When we called about it, they said they put 5 pieces in each and if we rewrapped up the food and brought it back they would fix it. We advised that we had walked about a mile to the location and to wrap it up to come right back was extremely inconvenient. They made no other attempts to make it right, so here is the review I hoped I wouldn’t have to write. I really wanted to like this place even after reading all the bad reviews with experiences just like ours. Turns out, it’s as bad as people say it is. The food wasn’t bad, but it was overpriced for what you get and forget about options! Hopefully, the management/ownership of this cute little place will heed the reviews and make some positive changes. I’ll give it another chance if they manage to stay open long enough to turn it around. Also…. note to the owner or whomever posts responses, it speaks to your character and how you value customers when you only reply to POSITIVE reviews. Please remember in business you need 100 positives to offset 1 negative and a big negative has been YOUR SERVICE. Maybe thank those that gave you good reviews and reach out to resolve the issues patrons had that resulted in negative reviews. As I mentioned before, I’d give it another try if positive changes are made as I’m sure others would as well.

The owner need to check the 2 servers here! I don’t know if this a family business but those two are extremely rude plus there customer service oriented is extremely low!. The restaurant claimed to close at 8pm I was rushing down here to be there & got here at 7:51 only to tell me they closed. Call them before driving there if you not wasting your gas & those two server need to be check.

I took the Missionaries from the church to this restaurant. We ordered our food. My food was hot, but their food was like it was taken out of the refrigerator and put on their plate wasn’t even like room temperature. It was cold. Would not recommend this restaurant. I don’t know whether it was a racism thing or what but from my experience I will never go back there again.

Came into Savannah for work & found this place on google. First red flag was that everything we wanted on the menu was not available. The servers informed us that the owner hadn’t brought food items for them to cook. My hubby & I settled for pounded yam & egusi & edikainkong soup. The food was horrible, you could tell it had been reheated/micowaved over & over again. When we complained about the taste of the egusi which did not taste like egusi, the server from Ivory Coast said she prepared it & that they are many ways of making egusi. Hence, the reason why it did not taste like egusi. I was weak. This place should be shutdown. We tried to eat the food but it was impossible. Money & time wasted just like that. I feel sorry for the servers who must get complaints everyday, from a non functional menu to tasteless meals. The owner needs to put this place in order or shut it down!!!!
