The customer service is always great! I enjoy coming here for a light lunch/dinner. They offer many type of sushi rolls as well as chicken dishes if sushi isnt exactly your thing. My favorite is the Spicy Tuna Roll or the Aggie Roll (Salmon, Cream Cheese, Jalepenos then tempura fried). They recently updated their menu to offer more rolls and dishes almost too many! The prices have gotten a little on the pricey side.

Food is really good for the price and comes out quickly. Wait staff is always friendly and efficient. What I like about this restaurant is that you can get sushi and other food items and it does not have to be at an extraordinary price. Usually when you go out for sushi it’s an occasional treat, but here you can get good food and a very reasonable price and while the atmosphere is “cool” it’s not a pretentious atmosphere. I really like the salads they have with the rice noodles too.

The food is delicious. I always order take out and thought I’d dine in. Big mistake. It is absolutely the worst service in Las Cruces I’ve ever experienced!! There was only three tables. We never got a refill. We only saw our server when she took the order, gave us our plate, and the picked up the plates. They had reggae music on that was obnoxiously loud. It was horrible. I will only ever order take out from there again (or until I find a better sushi place) and NEVER dine in again.

We are always pleased with our service at Okazuri. Ricardo is our server most times, and he is friendly and attentive. Sonny the sushi chef is efficient, skillful, and fun to talk to. The sushi quality is excellent (try the Vegas roll), and we have never had better calamari in New Mexico! The cost is much cheaper than many other sushi places here in town, and you get more for your money! Try it–we’re sure you’ll go back!

Terrible first time experience! I was really looking forward to eating here for a long time. I ordered sushi and a drink. I specifically said no cream cheese. Still came out with it… OK I understand mistakes happen. Waited for server to come back and let her know… took it back and still had cream cheese on a few sushi and looked lazily just chopped off… I just asked for Check and paid full price for eating one single sushi… yea not coming back here ever.

My girlfriend and I go there all the time. The sushi is pretty good and the prices are great. The only time I wasn’t very happy with my food is when I ordered the Tori katsu. The bed of vegetables was bland and there was way to much vegetables and not a lot of meat. I would suggest just sticking to their sushi. Overall I would recommend this restaurant.

Had a terrible experience here on a Sunday night. It was our first time in, and hoping for at least decent sushi based on the strangely good reviews. Very very disappointing, one terrible server who obviously did not care if anybody was enjoying their food, and had to track him down to pay our bill. So the sushi is definitely pre-made, possibly FROZEN, and definitely of the lowest quality possible. Basically what you would expect from a gas station and no better. Thankful we do not have food poisoning! Never again will we try sushi in Las Cruces, obviously it is too far from the ocean. I can’t imagine why anybody would like this place, unless they have never eaten real sushi. Avoid at all costs!

This establishment is probably the worst I’ve been to here in Las Cruces. Service was super slow. The kitchen was out of sushi rice, wait staff was slow, they tried to up charge my meal because the “menu was wrong”.
When the food finally arrived, it was soggy and very spicy, even though I specifically asked for them to make it “not spicy at all”.
Save yourself the time and eat elsewhere. You’ll find better service and better quality food in a dumpster.

I got the California Roll and the Crunch Roll. The California was a bit on the tangy side. I think it had too much vinegar. The Crunch roll was covered it tempura but it reminded me more or rice crispy cereal. The eel sauce was too sweet and covered the whole roll. I had to take a bite of my friends meal to break up he sweetness. Won’t be back, this wasn’t a great sushi bar.

Then we had the okazuri rolls and flankin roll and they were too big to actually enjoy and had mushy white rice. They didn’t taste straight up bad but didn’t even get to half of them before we decided to leave.
Price: There are better options, like McDonald’s down the street tastes better lol
