Pretty good sushi at a really good price! This place is nothing spectacular in terms of quality but the value is excellent- we got 3 rolls and an appetizer for $36.
The interior is a bit dated and run down, but it wasn’t gross or dirty or anything like that.
If you’re looking for decent quality, well priced sushi, this is definitely a good spot.

Absolutely abysmal delivery
They got my order wrong and refused to fix it, even though their system is very clearly wrong. I ordered the salmon combo for one online which should include 2 sushi rolls and sashimi, I proceeded to get salmon teriyaki with tempura. This has happened twice now I tried to contact them only for me to get an extremely rude woman who refused to even acknowledge me I will never be ordering from them again. Please fix your DoorDash system.
Update: I added a picture of what I order on the DoorDash vs what I received, as well as the message from the restaurant. Oka please fix this issue with your ordering system instead of blaming your customers. Thank you.

Roll packed with too much rice and too lose/uneven. Not enough cucumber. California roll had no cucumber. Burnt taste on one of the Unagi bits. Tempura soggy. Spicy mayo too spicy. Miso only had 4 cubes of tofu.

I love ok-a and have enjoyed it since I was a kid. That’s why I was especially disappointed when I found plastic in my food. Instead of owning up to the mistake, the server made excuses and refused to acknowledge it went out of her way to lie about what it was. Still had to pay for the meal.

If you’ve been to Japan or even Vancouver, you’ll be able to tell that the food is not very authentic except for maybe the portions? I just walked in to check it because it was in the same plaza as my office. I was little disappointed in my order. I got the bento box with teriyaki beef. The tempura was soggy and sauce was just salty. The sitting area is a little dark, not in a romantic way, and had more of a southeast Asian atmosphere; not Japanese. On top of the food being sub-par, the server wasn’t so friendly. There are much better options for Japanese food just a short walk or drive away.

OKA Japanese Restaurant is always excellent we’ve been going here for a couple year now and it has yet to disappoint. Staff are really friendly & the foods always great. Will be a go to restaurant in Kelowna for our family for many more years to come, great work!

Got a mix of rolls, tempura and sunomono salad. Everything was fresh, crispy tempura, and tasty salad. It was ready promptly, packed neatly and it was delicious. We will definitely try them again. 🙂

Food was….. okay. I was a little shocked to see what I’m pretty sure was a cockroach on my table. The guy who made my lunch was friendly but the original server disappeared (left the building) after my first dish was served. I don’t usually complain but I was a little disappointed. I’ve had better there.

Oka is amazing! They have awesome staff who work tirelessly to make sure their guests are taken care of, I love eating here their food is spectacular (highly recommend the Volcano roll).
I had them provide food for my wedding reception and it was unbelievable the food went so fast! Very reasonably priced for all food and large orders such as a wedding reception!
