I really wanted to like this place but the fish was not fresh (had the fishy smell / flavor). I love toro, it’s my favorite type of nigiri, so I ordered 2 and I thought it was very kind that they gave me a third for free but it just was not good at all. It doesn’t look fatty at all from the pictures (the role and the nigiri are supposedly toro / fatty tuna) and it’s grey.. Idk I’m disappointed bc the reviews here are good but it fell short. I will say the bluefin tuna don was fine, maybe I just got a bad piece of fish for the toro. Unfortunately I threw out everything mostly uneaten.

This place has the absolute BEST chicken ramen I have ever had. Such perfect broth, chicken seasoned in an ethnic indoasian blend, which is consistent every time I go! The menu is diverse and every item I have had has been delicious, including the specialty sushi rolls! This has been my go to spot for a year now for a casual meal or delivery and I would recommend anyone to try it!

We enjoyed the food at OISHI. The sushi rolls were well made and good quality, better than most take out sushi we have had in the city. If eating in the resturant, it is very small. Maybe 16 to 20 seats total. We were the only customers in the resturant but it was a Wed night so unsure what the weekend traffic is like. It was not temperature controlled so bring a jacket if you get cold. I would recommend that the bathroom is for emergency only. I do not believe they sell alchohol. There was no drink menu and we were not offered any drink options.

The BEST sushi spot in the city. They have excellent quality and variety. I really appreciate how well they season, marinade and cook their meats. I ordered the hangers which is a beef kebab sort of, lamb chops and chicken skewers. The beef is cooked to PERFECTION. Not many people can master this technique. I also ordered octopus for a try and this yummy ice cream. I have zero complaints.
Great food, clean environment and awesome service. Not to mention the pricing is very reasonable. You will not regret coming here.

This place did NOT disappoint! Needless to mention they are HALAL!!! We ordered the bento box 3, tuna crunchy roll, rainbow roll and wagyu beef fried rice. Cheesecake for dessert. The fried rice was extremely delicious. Not your typical kind at all! At first I kinda thought I may have to order more food later but to be honest for a party of two (I have a son who’s an athlete and eats everything under the sun) it was VERY filling. The sushi rolls were very large and FRESH! I mean they used actual blue crab meat!! For the bento box I chose land & sea roll, Japanese wagyu nigiri, miso soup and chicken katsu sando. I asked the server to cut the sando in half so my son and I could share. Instead he just gave another one on the house! And let me tell you, that sandwich is a MUST have! For dessert they only had cheese cake and black sesame ice cream so we ordered the cake. Once again they provided complementary ice cream. Now I’m very picky with cheesecake but boy oh boy! That was THE BEST cheesecake I’ve ever had!! Firstly it’s a large portion, secondly it is soooo fluffy and soooo tasty without any eggy smell whatsoever. The ice cream was nice too! I asked the server to pack me another piece to go since I loved it so much. He came back with two slices. Again, the extra slice on the house. What a sweet surprise!! This location is a smaller area so I’d suggest making reservations if you have a large party. I don’t think I need to speak too much on the service as it’s become pretty self explanatory. Prices may seem high but the portions are very filling making it worth it. The server did mention their actual chef had called out and the food could’ve been better. With that being said, I can’t wait to go back and try other items made by the true chef!! I’d suggest bypassing the negative reviews and give them a try!!

This was our second time here. We really enjoyed the food and especially the a5 wagyu. It’s pricey but worth a try every once in a while. Also being halal, the quality is good. The sushi was delicious and the bulgogi Don was so tender that it melted in our mouth. The a5 was done just rigth and just dissolved in our mouths. Would definitely come again.

This place was amazing! I was really glad that I chose to come here instead of going to some other place. They’re halal so you can eat without worry. Their wagyu sushi was delicious. Just all of their wagyu was good. This was some of the best sushi I’ve had outside of Japan. The ebi was so fresh! I wish I lived in Philly so I could go and try everything on that menu! I spent a lot of money there because I tried to try as much as I can but I would say the prices are fair for a sushi/wagyu place!

Came here on a Thursday night with my friend and had a fantastic time! Chef Arman really does a great job with presentation, quality and taste. Everything was super fresh and delicious! I would highly recommend the hamachi ponzu roll. They also have vegan options (did not get them but there is an eggplant one that sounds amazing) and hot food dishes, which is great! Definitely a place to stop by when that sushi craving hits.

The food was okay. I agree with other reviews that the portions are small and the prices are a bit high. My boyfriend ordered yellowtail nigiri, and it came out as a small piece. The quality was not as fresh as expected.
The service is great, very attentive. However, the atmosphere had a weird smell. We were pleasantly surprised because it’s rare to find a halal Japanese restaurant in the city.

Really poor quality sushi. The rice was overcooked and warm, and both the crunchy tuna roll and salmon roll left a bad taste in my mouth. Disappointed.
