I’ve always liked Oishi’s and would stop by every couple of weeks, even though I live about 45 minutes away. Unfortunately, after my last experience, I won’t be returning.
On my way home from work meetings, I ordered a spicy chicken teriyaki and a regular chicken teriyaki to bring home to my family. When I got home, I realized I’d been given the wrong order. Mistakes happen, but since I live far away, it wasn’t something I could just swing back to fix.
While my wife figured out what to feed us instead, I called Oishi’s. The individual remembered who I was, and said that I could come back in and they’d correct it, to which I explained that I live a distance away and couldn’t, and in addition, I was going to be out of town for a bit. He said that he only works Wednesdays but would write a note down explaining the situation so that I could have it corrected.
When I returned two weeks later (the next time I was in town), I called first and was told it had been too long and they wouldn’t honor the correction. I let him know that I’ll stop in with my receipt and a photo of what I received, but they still refused to make it right.
I was told that it’s been too long and if it was the same day or the next day that maybe they could’ve done something. I reminded him that I don’t live near the restaurant, and that I was out of state and knew he only worked Wednesdays anyhow and so that’s why it’s been two weeks. They didn’t care.
It’s disappointing, because I genuinely liked this place and was a regular customer. I appreciated the food, but I can’t support a business that doesn’t stand behind its service or take care of its customers when they make a mistake.

The food is delicious and the portions are huge. It’s easily one of the best teriyaki spots I’ve found. If you’re looking for a great meal and generous servings, this is the place to go! Pay no attention to Bill and Robyn’s reviews they can’t seem to get their timelines correct

Their “general tso” chicken is just sweet and sour with red bell peppers in it. Not happy about that at all. I think they really need new cooks because this ridiculous. Not an isolated incident either, second time I’ve tried this dish and it’s been the same both times.

What a wonderful sushi place! Cozy up to the sushi bar and watch the expert chefs make your choices right in front of you. I had the old fashioned and it is now one of my top faves. The wagyu hand roll is phenom, along with the yellowtail and spicy tuna. A must try when in Vancouver.

Been going to oishis for years. Everytime I’m in the area for work it’s my go to lunch spot. The portions are generous for the price but most importantly everything I have tried is so good. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Today I picked up takeout, I got their specials. Again they hit the spot

Came in town for our cruise and we’re looking for nice Asian food to eat and this is definitely hands-down. The best Asian food I’ve had in a long time very good portions

I thought this teriyaki joint was pretty standard in all areas. The chicken was chared to my liking and the amount of food for the walk out price of $17 was fair(I incl sales tax.) I’d say the overall star level is 4.5 stars.

Got the chicken teriyaki for $13.99. Portion size was really good, I had left overs for the following day. Nice big pieces of chicken, fast service, tasted great. The only bad part is the location on Broadway being kinda sketchy, as I was eating in my car a homeless guy walked up to my window and asked for money.

Would regularly eat her, the teriyaki is wonderdul. But one day they got my husbands pickup order completely wrong. He drove 45 minutes from mount Vernon in traffic that day to pick that order up to suprise me with it… not a single item in th bag was right and it was much less than what he ordered. He called and asked for a refund and still apologized for not checking the food that they gave him before he left. They said they don’t do refunds but would give him the same meals that he ordered for free on a future Wednesday (that was the day the employee works who told him this), to not worry and just come on it whenever. Well apparently coming in a month later is considered “too late” of a future Wednesday whenever. Because today my husband tried to collect his correct order and was told no that it had been too long of a time. I do not like liars. Don’t so dirty business, especially to customers who eat at your restaurant often that aren’t even local and used to recommend you to others.

I wasn’t expecting it to be a drive-in, but it looked so cool when we arrived.
The chicken teriyaki is delicious, perfectly balanced sweetness and a massive portion. At just $12.99, it’s an absolute steal! I had to split it into two meals, there’s chicken on top of chicken, and even more underneath.
