Absolutely outstanding. I was completely blown away by the flavor! The mushrooms were bold and delicious with a tang sauce. The herb & pecan crusted venison chops over squash and polenta was so good, executed so well, I couldn’t believe I was in KC. The tamales with the sauces were so delightful and fun, I can’t believe we almost passed them up. The Chef designs the menu around the featured artist and exhibition, so it changes every month or couple of months. The way that he was able to execute on these local foods – wild nettle pesto, mushrooms, corn, squash, beans, kale, paw paw ice cream – leaves no doubt in my mind that whatever it changes to is going to be worth a visit, and any chance taken on a menu item will be a rewarding surprise. We built in time to check out the art, and I was impressed and so pleasantly surprised. Getting a chance to experience the menu inspired by the art made for a delightful and memorable evening for us. We can’t wait to come back! I seriously can’t recommend this place enough for a special dinner.

Delicious cafe located inside the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art. Recommend reservations for brunch. Enjoyed the seasonal pastry basket, pumpkin spice latte and brunch/lunch dishes. They also offer some beer, wine, cocktails and fresh lemonade. Great place to get a bite to eat while downtown in KC!

A beautiful exercise in culinary storytelling at the intersection of artistry, heritage, and culture, complemented by a dining room that extends the narrative beyond the plate. It’s a dinner experience I’d eagerly recommend.

Sunday brunch was quite delightful. I recommend the watermelon and the peach. The service was great, the atmosphere was great. Of course the museum is an added bonus. I must see when you’re in Kansas City.

This was a beautiful dinner experience! First you encounter the charming atmosphere as the restaurant is nestled inside the Kemper Museum, so your experience already feels like elevated as you’re surrounded by art during your meal.

The service was certainly top notch as well. Very professional and friendly throughout.

I give them high praise for the VERY unique dishes they serve. We went the night before Valentine’s Day and they had multi course dinner with an omnivore option and a vegetarian option. I went with the vegetarian option and I very much enjoyed it! I was highly impressed by the creativity and I overall enjoyed the flavor. Apologies on this review though that I don’t recall the names of each dish. I look forward to returning to try more from them!

My partner and I decided to come here for our anniversary brunch and we were pleasantly impressed! The courtyard was full of beautiful light and even on a dreary winter morning, it felt warm and inviting. We were both talking about the scones nonstop after eating them, and our entrees were excellent as well. We will definitely be back!

We had a great brunch today. Service was good, our server read the table and was there but not over the top for 5 ladies.

I had the beef kofta and it was delicious. You get one kofta in a buttery flatbread. The harissa made the dish. Just a little spicy heat with the herbs in the beef. Just good.

We were gifted the scones and they were okay, a little dry but the jam was delicious and I would eat it on everything.

Really gorgeous skylight and art inside. The food was amazing. We had this place highly recommended by local friends. I had the three sisters and thought it was unique and delicious. Crunchy, tart, and filling. The steak salad was cooked perfectly with a great dressing and the smoked eggplant were also delicious.dessert also great.

Love to introduce friends and family to this art museum and restaurant. Every visit is a success at converting a fan from 12 to 65 years old. Great food, great art and art activities. Always enjoy the gift shop and engaged staff. A walk around the the block and Art Institute grounds to admire local sculptures is a great way to digest a rich brunch/lunch.

The food was okay, it was nothing special though I also have no complaints. Based on how beautiful the dining room is, I would go here again
