OMG—what a fantastic meal at Oggie’s Sports Bar in The Lodge in Deadwood!
The food was way better than I expected for a sports bar (in the best possible way). Everything came out hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. The portions were generous, the atmosphere was lively, and the staff was friendly and on it.
This is the kind of place where you go in thinking “quick bite” and leave thinking, “I can’t wait to come back.” If you’re in Deadwood and want great food, cold drinks, and a fun vibe—Oggie’s is a must.

3rd time we’ve eaten at Oggies! Exceptional service, great food, and drinks! Nice choices on the kid’s menu, including a 9″ pizza, and pasta with sauce, choice of drink, and big side salad for $11. Adults in our party ordered pizza, chicken fried steak, a burger, and a club sandwich. Food was all excellent!

Waitress was amazing. Food : almost all of our food dishes including fries, steaks, and fish fillet were cold. It seemed like all of our dishes were waiting for one dish to be done. Wasn’t the best impressed especially with by the price we paid for the total and the result we got in return. I ordered the salmon, and y’all. Y’ALL. It wasn’t just good—it was divine. Perfectly seasoned, kissed by the grill, and draped in the most luxurious lemony sauce like it knew it was the star of the show. Each bite melted in my mouth like it had somewhere soft and fancy to be. Paired with fluffy rice, crisp vibrant veggies, and those playful little sauce swirls on the plate? Honey, it gave 5-star elegance with the soul of comfort food.
It was exactly what we needed—nourishing, beautiful, and delivered with service that felt warm and welcoming even though we showed up looking like frazzled cleaning goblins.
Whether you’re in your Sunday best or sporting your best bleach-stained leggings (guilty), Oggie’s wraps you up in good food and good vibes. And for that, they’ve got our tired, grateful hearts.

Took the recommendation of the host and when the server heard my order she agreed with it being the best decision. When the food arrived the stack of thin fries surrounding the burgers flr most of my parties order, I was jealous. They looked crispy and delicious. The best and last plate put on our table of 12 was the BANGKOK shrimp with extra sauce. It was so amazing and something I may drive from salt lake to here so I can eat it again. They have amazing food. Service subpar… Seated close to 15 minutes zero service.. Had to ask who the waite staff was.
Midmeal. Ordered 2nd drink. Came at the end of the meal.. I had finished eating. Declined drink.
However the Walley is the best I have ever had… Lifetime… including cruising. Highly recommend! Hopefully better service next time!

We showed up with a group of 18 expecting for it to be a hassle and it was actually the best experience. The staff quickly moved tables to accommodate us. Linda was our server and she was incredible and efficient. Food was all correct and delish! Thank you for the great experience!
