This place is a hidden gem! This morning I was looking for a place within an hour drive to find NY style bagels like where I grew up on Long Island. When googling, I read that this place boils their bagels before cooking in an oven, exactly how they are made in NY, so we took the trip. Jeff the owner is extremely friendly, and passionate about making a great bagel. First time customers are encouraged to ring the bell near the cash register, and the staff welcomes you and hands you a free bagel to try. I also ordered the french toast bagel out of curiosity, YUM!!! I am not a coffee drinker, but if that is your thing they seemed to offer several interesting options, and the outside of the building mentioned coffee shop. We will definitely be back when in the area, and I recommend everyone to try this place and experience for yourself what a delicious NY bagel tastes like!

Off the Rails Bagels shout out! Fresh made New York style bagels and they are SO tasty. First time here, super friendly staff with great energy! Limited seating, standing counter, order to go or order ahead. Great experience!

Super friendly staff, and great bagels. I got the French toast which was the toasted French toast bagel with maple syrup and powder sugar on top. Delicious! Got a few bagels and biscuits to try later. I also got a peach cobbler coffee which was also very good. Highly recommended if you want some good bagels and coffee!

We frequently visit the town of Waynesboro and often Pen Mar, and recently we had the pleasure of trying Off The Rails just across the street. Regrettably, this amazing gem is easy to miss.

To start, my son ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel, my wife chose a cinnamon crunch bagel, and I went with the French toast bagel. Everything was delicious, but the French toast bagel really stood out. I’ve never had a bagel prepared like French toast before—an absolute must‑try. All of this came to about $13.

Next time we pass through, I’ll make a point to bring a freezer bag, because they also sell their homemade bagels frozen. They also had some interesting flavors like garlic asiago. It’s definitely worth stocking up.

This was my first time going there. I lived in Queens NY for half my life so I know a good bagel. This is a great place, very friendly vibe. I got a dozen bagels to go 6 plain and 6 everything. My family is thoroughly enjoying them as am I. The bagels have a great bite and a great chew to them. This is the closest I have found so far that is like a NY style bagel. I will definitely be going back.

GLUTEN FREE BREAKFAST SAMMIES!!! Off the Rails Bagels has a gluten free option for breakfast sandwiches now!! The gluten free roll isn’t tiny either like a lot of other gf offerings. Had the breakfast burger in their cozy café while chatting with the owner and it felt like having breakfast at a friend’s house. Definitely stop in to see them.

Had Off the Rails Bagels for the first time, and I was beyond impressed! Staff were welcoming and loved watching them prep the dough. I ordered a cinnamon-bun latte, onion bagel breakfast sandwich with bacon, and plain bagel with jalapeño cream cheese.
I highly recommend, fresh bagels are my favorite & I’ll be back again!

I absolutely love Off the Rails. The bagels and biscuits are by far the best around. I’m sure the coffee is great too, but I haven’t tried it yet. The staff and the bagel maker, are always kind, prompt, and best of all, personable. Support local, and support Off the Rails, you will not regret it.

Finally found an authentic NY/NJ Bagels shop in the area. The bagels are absolutely fantastic, the coffee was very fresh, and the NJ/Philly-style Roast Pork sub was delicious. The owner and staff were very friendly, and they even showed my daughters how they make the bagels. Wish I could give 6 Stars. We will be back often.

I have had several dishes here, next door to my work. All have been over the top good. I came intoday with my hunger set on that roast pork sandwich, the entire town beat me there. Sold out at noon.
So I tried the meatball. Best meatball sandwich ever!
Only complaint should wrap wax paper around sandwich so cheese does not stick to foil.
