We decided to try Off the Hook, and it turned out to be a great choice!
We started off with some Saratoga still water served with fresh lemon ❤️ I love little details like that, they really matter. For drinks, he had a Hennessy beer, and I went with a spicy passion margarita (recommended by our waitress, Christina). She was right it was delicious! Nice and spicy, just how I like it. My second one wasn’t quite as spicy as the first, so make sure to tell them to keep it spicy!
He started with oysters first the Rockefeller oysters (6 for $25). He said they were decent but not quite like the ones he’s had in Louisiana . For round two, he tried the Blue Point South Shore oysters (since it’s Oyster Week they were $2 each). He chose them because Christina said they were larger and she was right!
The other oyster selections included Fire Island South Shore, Montauk Pearl, and Barnstable Cape Cod. I had the chicken wings they were delicious, and full of flavor.
For our main dishes, he ordered the whole Branzino with mashed potatoes, and I had the chicken Caesar salad. Both were fresh, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. My salad needed a little more dressing. I hate a dry salad
The overall experience was wonderful the food was delicious, the service was excellent, the music was a great mix of everything, and the atmosphere was calm and cozy. Christina was friendly, attentive, and super knowledgeable.
Even though most spots are closed during the colder months, Off the Hook is still open so be sure to stop by and check them out. You won’t be disappointed
Food and Drinks:
The drinks were fantastic, I went with the spicy Paloma. The food was the only disappointing part. The fish and shrimp were a little bland. The Octopus (not pictured) was delicious. The food portions relative to the price was a bit disappointing (6 shrimp for $32 and one piece of Octopus for $30). Overall we had a great time but will probably not come back for dinner.
The new venue is really classy with radiant sunlight from all angles. Love the high end leather lounge bench seats.
My gal says “you got to try this lobster bisque!” I happily obliged and must say “Mind blowingly delicious.”

Upgrading review from previous 4 stars to 5 stars. The $1 oysters & draft beers got me to come here 3 times in 3 weeks.
Best Happy Hour in town!

Fantastic evening & food. Thank you Glen.
Suggestion: change early bird menu every 2 weeks. Give the locals a reason to return…

Happy hour. YES
Wow!! This place is stunning. We shared plates and the portions were perfect. Delicious all around! The staff were super friendly and the restaurant is beautiful. Plenty of indoor and outdoor dining. My friend dish was the baked cheese casserole! The clams were a close second, fresh & delicious! The dip with the zucchini fries was incredible as well. Oh but the skirt steak and mustard sauce maybe have also been my favorite! Ha. We also had the pea soup, the meatballs, the charred Caesar. Highly recommend this new restaurant!
Drunken Mussels
Shrimp Mofongo
Mac and cheese
The food was delicious! I really loved the Mussels the most! I really enjoyed my time!
To drink we had the chance to try many options and they got better and better each time. The Rosemary lemon drop was so good served in a rock glass and was so much more than what we expected. The Dark forest was one of my favorites I def say try this. The Fresh Mojito was one of the best mojitos I’ve ever had. If you come here for drinks and apps alone you will be on cloud 9. I heard happy hour is amazing I can’t wait to come for that ($1 oysters).
The oyster shots are amazing spicy but amazing.
We ordered the House oysters which are the absolute best on nautical mile so fresh, excellent taste. Cajun baked clams my boyfriend enjoyed I couldn’t have them since they had sausage however he enjoyed them and said they were really good also. The Cornflake shrimp is an absolute must have delicious, fried to perfection and the sauce was a great addition. We also got the Grilled octopus which was good it comes with a small bean salad which is served cold. I enjoyed this is was cooked well and not to oily.
For entrees we had the linguine and clams which had plenty of clams. It also had good flavor and the portion was good. We also had the fried whole red snapper which was fried to perfection and beautifully presented. It came with sauces and crispy plantains very delicious.
For dessert we got one of the most popular items which is the pistachio ricotta cake I love pistachio so this was also a good choice.
