Delicious Chinese food with a nice presentation. Sit-down eating in a small area, but clean. I’ve enjoyed more than half of the selections on the menu, and it’s all yummy! It’s also Vegan friendly. Best Chinese in Augusta. Take out available and highly used.

Here’s the “dinner special combo” for their General Tso chicken dish. I’m 4/5 on flavor but docking a star for portion size ($13 w/tip).

I have always wanted to visit the Hunan Cafe but can’t say that I enjoyed my first experience. The restaurant is nice, small, and intimate with Asian wall decor. My service was great as well. I was not happy with the taste and amount of food I received. I ordered shrimp and broccoli with white sauce and brown rice to go. When I got home my rice container was half empty and my shrimp and broccoli had absolutely no flavor at all. The family that was in the restaurant as I ordered my food seemed to be enjoying their meal so maybe I need to give the restaurant another try. It won’t be anytime soon. Hunan Cafe just didn’t do it for me.

I loved it! The dining area was clean, the sweet tea was amazing, the food tasted so fresh and of the best quality. It didn’t take very long for the food to be prepared and although the waiter was not very friendly, he did a great job getting us everything we needed. He was the only server for the cafe, so I can’t blame him for not being very social. Hunan Cafe is small and we were lucky to get there right on time. I had an excellent first experience and loved my food!! Everyone in our party enjoyed their dish. I will be back and definitely recommend them to anyone. Thanks for the excellent experience! Stay fresh!

The food was great, can’t wait to try more dishes. Lots of choices, almost couldn’t decide but went with Steamed dumplings and Salt & pepper calamari for our appetizers. For our entree’s, we had the Hunan Chicken and Green pepper steak w/ Lo Mein (not pictured). Both tasted great! The atmosphere was cozy and the restaurant was clean. Carmen, the server was great! Awesome personality! Definitely recommend to try this place out!

Tried out Hunan Cafe for their lunch special which it’s one of their various beef or chicken combos with either white or fried rice and an egg roll. I decided to go with the beef and vegetables. Decent size entree for a light lunch, but don’t expect a normal size for the lunch special. The beef was a bit over cooked and was tough and chewy rather than tender, but the rest of the food was hot and cooked well. Service was quick and food was received quick. Good option for a quick lunch.

Absolutely excellent Chinese cuisine. They care about authentic presentation as well as authentic preparation of their dishes. I had the Hunan Triple crown and my wife had the sea bass. She stated that they prepared the spinach and Vegetables perfectly authentically to the food she has back home. Would totally recommend this place if you’re into Chinese food that tastes great. The in store service is a little show because they make the food fresh but the owner is very nice and willing to help. The prices are fair for what they give you.

Decided to try this quaint Chinese Restaurant today. The food score on the door was a 100%. Having a good food score is a must for me. From 4-6pm they offer an early bird special that provides fried rice and an egg roll with your meal. I ordered the Hunan Chicken and Hot Sour Soup. My spouse ordered the sesame chicken. The Hunan Chicken was fresh hot and some what spicy hot. Lots of fresh vegetables. Rice was plain fried rice and was good for what it was. The Hot and Sour soup was surprisingly delicious. This was very hearty lots flavor and plenty of ingredients that didn’t leave it wanting. The egg roll was good for what it was, I have had better. Lastly I tried the sesame chicken and the sauce they used was just right. The chicken wasn’t as crunchy as I would expect for this type of dish. You can tell that the chicken is freshly cut chicken breast. However, with the batter that they used it should have been fried longer to make it crunchy. Overall this is a good place to visit. I would like to visit it again and try something different to see what else they offer. Also it got really busy so they must be doing something right. Service was a bit slow but very polite. Overall this place rates a “3.5 to 4” stars for this style of restaurant.

I paid 18 dollars for a half full dinner portion?
Of the Mongolian beef that has always been way more than what I got today, also the guy on the phone was pissy and was trying to tell me I was wrong, The service has gone down tremendously and the portion sizes also. Absolutely pathetic.
