We went there tonight after reading reviews and were thoroughly impressed by the food and wonderful friendly staff. Coming from the UK we are really happy to finally find a great chippy. Portions are huge, we had haddock and cod and both were really moist. We will be back for sure and have already told friends about it

Ordered 2 cod damn they were tasty! And those fries were soooo good I couldn’t stop eating them! I saw a family order the captains catch meal and I regretted not ordering that to try the shrimp! Can’t wait to come back and try more items! For how busy they were I didn’t mind waiting at all. The woman behind the till was patient and explained they only had one cook in the back the day we went and things were still cooked amazing!! Made me miss living near the ocean.

Heard nothing but great reviews about this off the hook in Ogden our first experience was we will have to try another day as it was a bit of a wait because of how popular this place was around dinner time. So if you want to get in and beat the crowd show up a bit earlier. We came in for our second attempt and it was very inviting and friendly staff as we had ordered 3 piece cod with fries coleslaw with a dinner bun was plentiful for two of us with leftovers which we will definitely warm up in the air fryer as recommended. Definitely a rare find of taste we’ve been craving for in years having fish and chips in Calgary. We absolutely enjoyed the flavour for fish and the fresh light flavoured taste of the batter with their in house tarter sauce was definitely a treat with fresh homemade bun and tasty coleslaw also ordered a side of gravy that hit the spot with very flavourful homemade fries we highly recommend this establishment if your looking for a tasty seafood treat but make room for us when we return please

As a newfie its nice to find a place with great fish and chips.
They were great, even with my kids running around as we waited for our meal. Then helped bring my bags out to the car. Great customer service, great place.

How many ways can you describe amazing? 13/10. So delicious. The seafood is so fresh, and the portions are so generous. Friendly and personable staff and owner. Can’t wait to come back for more fantastic food and churros.

The food was delicious, but service was not entirely prepared. I understand they recently opened, but there were many logistical things that did not work at this restaurant. Staff handling money and then touching food was a big no-no. As well, having one bottle of tartar sauce and vinegar for the entire restaurant to share isn’t efficient, especially when guests don’t put it back in the communal area. Would love to come back when it is more established.

what a feast me son! Felt like I stepped in an authentic NL fish n chips shack. I tried the cod and onion rings and their fries, what a delight! And to top it off the server offered a sample of house made mustard pickles!
Cod taste like it was just jigged off the cape me son!
I’m currently looking for New apartment, now I’m convinced this is the area I want to live so I can eat here all the time.

Come for the Fish and Chips, stay for the clubhouse and fries! I need to admit: I don’t like seafood and don’t eat fish. But my family wanted fish and chips so we tried Off The Hook this week. They both had fish and chips, trying the pollock and the haddock – they said they preferred the haddock. But both looked to be decent pieces. My son also had a lobster tail… that I think he finished before I we’d said thank-you to the server! They all came with mounds of fries, the really good kind! Crisp and soft, basically exactly what you for proper chips. We also tried their hand battered onion rings, but the fries were so good we didn’t finish the onion rings. The dinner rolls were nice and fresh, if by some chance you were still hungry (ex: son).
I had a clubhouse sandwich, and it was great! Not just better than expected for a seafood place, but anon-seafood eater should make the trip just for the clubhouse! They roast their own turkey (no deli slices!) and it came with several pieces of thick cut bacon, on toasted fresh bread. And another pile of declious fries!
I’m sure the fish was good, my partner and son both liked it, but why not just have the clubhouse and fries?! There’s no bacon with the fish!
All the food is made to order, so there’s a little wait – but it’s hot and fresh. Decent selection of canned pop, including a whole variety of diet soda, which was unexpected but appreciated – save those calories for more fries!
