The staff was friendly, the atmosphere has that southern feel. I had the Hook Burger, definitely delicious, warm center, juicy. The Swamp fries were good, would recommend. The fried items like shrimp and catfish…..can definitely use a little more kick, there was no flavor on the crispy part, it was all in the sauce you dip. I’ll try again , give them some time to warm up, or maybe cause when you’re a chef, you find things. The Gumbo, has the scent, but doesn’t have that um um good yet. We all know what home gumbo taste like, now for them to implement it.

Mmmmmmmhhhhhh. I don’t know. Everyone deserves a second chance. But this first time…. Food cold and really greasy. Ordered DoorDash… Don’t understand why the food was cold and I only live about 4 minutes away…and the order wasn’t ready when DoorDash driver arrived. Make sure you have your paper towels ready to blot. Look at the image showing how much grease from blotting with the paper towels. Also…paid extra for bacon on the burger…only to receive a half of slice and less than half in crumbled bits. I don’t know.
Burger really salty and greasy. Fish tastes really muddy from the gray part from the belly. Had to trash it. They have really good potential. But less salt and do something about all of the grease. I’ll try again later to see if anything changes. December 20, after 7pm.

I ordered through the drive thru, because there wasn’t any parking in the lot. (Parking Limited) A Cheeseburger, order of Onion Rings and a Drink cost right around $20. The lady taking the order was nice and pleasant. Burger was large, as you can see from the pictures. I loved that the burger was on a sourdough bun, but wish it had been toasted more, as it ate a little soggy. Overall burger was fine. I love homemade Onion Rings and these had the makings of being perfect, had the batter not been so salty, that they were inedible to me. I unfortunately had to throw the order of onion rings away, which was disappointing.

Not sure why the rating on this place isn’t higher especially since they recently opened. This is the second time eating here. First was probably the day they opened when we got it to-go.
Food has been fantastic each time.
Today was probably some of the best fried catfish I’ve ever had! I love thin and crispy fillets.
Hush puppies are always my weakness and these definitely do not disappoint!
If I could be critical on one thing it’s the fries. They have this textured coating on them which I’m not a fan. I love the size they are cut, just not that one part. They are definitely still eatable and it doesn’t stop us from coming.
The staff here is also wonderful. They even came check on us at the table.
Look forward to coming again!

We went to off the hook restaurant yesterday January 8,2026 their were 8 of us dinning in. Your staff was very accommodating to us. Your whole staff was amazing The 2 staff members that helped us the most was Tiana and Jalil We go out to lunch every month since 2 husbands have passed away ,we go to remember them, share stories and laugh. thank you for having such a wonderful crew .we will definitely be back and will recommend our friends to visit your restaurant

I read a lot of good comments about this restaurant.
I ordered fish and shrimp. The shrimp was awesome, but the fish was not. The seasoning was too lemony.
