First time I’ve been here food was decent but priced too high . I had the mushroom taco it was very tasty, 3 tacos for $20, I would expect something different level, I understand the ingredients and the preparation it takes and it was tasty I just thought this should be pumped up with some nice garnish a small salad with thin, sliced radishes is what I’ve seen a lot of lately in most places that serve vegan tacos, maybe even another taco most places that we have been to average around $13-$16 for three vegan tacos. They always have garnish and a few sauces on the side
The guacamole was very tasty with fresh made tortilla chips, so for one fruit drink, guacamole and chips and three tacos $50 which included tip of seven dollars. I will be curious to what other people think. Note this is a really neat place. it is colorful has nice picnic table style seating good music. I just think that it’s out of reach price wise for some folks. when i do food reviews for me value is just as important as taste so while the food was good, it was not great.

I was super excited to try this place as it looks delicious and has a great reputation. We went on a Saturday night and sat in the bar area which was really cool and so neatly tucked away just off Frankford. The service was fast and courteous. The birria tacos for $20 dollars felt a bit pricey for what I got and the tacos were slightly above mid but nothing I am racing back for, same was true for the chicken tacos we ordered for $18. The $12 margarita was poured in a 6oz plastic cup and felt like a complete rip off considering it was mostly ice. They did have some fun and fancy toothpicks in the margaritas. In closing, to spend $80 for 2 sets of 3 tacos and 2 margaritas was a little disappointing to say the least. Not sure I’m going to be recommending this place unfortunately.

Was my cemita good? Yes.

Was it embarassingly tiny and exorbitantly overpriced?? Yes!!!

A cemita is supposed to be BIG. Normally a cemita will last me 2 meals, but I ate this thing and was still hungry.

It was almost $19!!!! For that price I would expect a bigger sandwich or at least a side of fries with it. I have seen bigger sandwiches at McDonald’s.

Off the top of my head I can think of 5 places in Philly where you can get a cemita the size of your HEAD and pay less. And it’ll taste as good or better.

I read a lot of good things about this place so I gave it a shot. I swear I think rich people (i.e. Fishtowners) love to waste money. I will not be back because of the ridiculous prices.

This place was recommended by a coworker and mind it did not disappoint. Such great vibes and atmosphere. Staff are very nice and friendly especially Carmen. Easy to order and food comes out hot and delicious. I will definitely recommend this nice hidden gem.

I feel like im about to take a dump on this place so bare with me.

First off, getting these kinds of tacos around here is rare and wish there was more competition but it is what it is and appreciate that they are here.

Ive tried about 4 different tacos. The chicken tacos and the arabes didn’t have either an authentic taste for me or flavorful and having a mexican (Monterrey) background didnt help appreciate the lack of flavor. The gringa is not bad, arrachera tatemada tacos are their best on the menu.

However, I cant justify $20 for 3 tacos. Nope.

The margaritas and the palomas at $12 is cool but that it is hit and miss on authentic flavor. Its disappointing.

The side area is probably the best place to hang out with because of the fans and tv screen.

Is this place worth a visit? Depends. If I need a quick taco fix then yes if I stick to what I know. Are the prices justified? Nah. $17 more like it and thats only because of the location. Back in Texas tacos are much more authentic and lower priced so hard to say whats most acceptable here. My guess is $17 is more like it.

The staff isn’t personable so no relevancy there.

G-luck!

Really delicious tacos, hands down the best in Fishtown. High quality ingredients and the kindest staff.

Please never get rid of the shrimp tacos. Fishtown, don’t be scared of the squid ink tortillas. I swear these are divine. Say it with me: UMAMI.

I ordered the mahi mahi tacos ($18) and the iced oat milk horchata ($6). The horchata was amazing but the tacos were bland. I wish they came with more flavorful toppings or a side of salsa. However, when I asked for hot sauce they gave me a habanero sauce that was delicious (and hot)! The vibes of this place are great, the kiosk ordering was easy, and the people working there were friendly. For the prices, I just wish the food was better.

Over $20 for three tacos? $24 for a Cuban sandwich? Not even chips on the side?

They don’t even have indoor seating… Kind of offended by this whole thing. Atleast Heffe was more affordable.

If you see this, the taco truck across from Shake Shack does 3 tacos or $12 and they’re GREAT plus filling.

$18 for 3 tacos and there’s only outdoor seating. Not a restaurant, this is a glorified stand in a prime location. But there’s also a taco cart down the block with better tacos and better prices. $18 for 3 tacos is criminal. Read your reviews and you will last longer. Lower prices will bring more customers. At this price, you will not have regulars. Bring it to $12 and I’ll be there everyday after work.

Wow I have been looking for authentic Mexican food in this city! I have tried several places that were very disappointing. I loved this food soo much! Me and my son was literally amazed at how good it taste. We literally stood up eating it because we didn’t even have time to sit down. I wish I had gotten a picture! 10/10!!
