The food is very very good when you can get it. The hours online and in person do not match. So many times we’ve went there when it’s “open” just to find out that it’s actually closed. It’s a bummer, they’re definitely missing out on business.

Went here for lunch today with my wife. The staff were super friendly and happily answered all my questions about the food. Ordered brisket sandwiches, sausage and corn bread. The corn bread was nice but pretty standard. The brisket was smoky and tender, and full of beefy flavor. The sausage had a perfect snap and the meat was very smoothly ground. Wonderful texture. Brisket and sausage came with sauce on the side, and it had an unexpected twist. I think maybe there is tamarind in the sauce? Whatever it was, I loved it and I saved all the excess sauce to have later. I wanted to try the Texas Twinkies but they said they only have those on Wednesdays. Oh well, I guess I’ll have to come back on a Wednesday then! 🙂

Soon as we pulled in we could smell the sweet smoke of a southern BBQ. The pulled pork was excellent and the portions were generous. I’m glad we stopped.

The ribs and bbq sauce were out of this world good. They pulled the ribs fresh off the smoker and put them into my container. Perfect smokey flavor and so tender you could pull the bone from the meat with no effort. Not impressed with the mac (I would be willing to bet it was stoufers) or the cornbread, but the sauce and meat is so good i will definitely return for BBQ. The meat was so good I still gave 5 stars and that means a lot because sides are important at a good bbq restaurant. Please do yourself a favor and order a rack of ribs!!!

The ribs were perfect, you really nailed those! Instantly my favorite and what I’ll go for next time. Loved the tender brisket and tasty pulled pork. Good beans. The cornbread was a bit cold. I warmed it up and it was very good. Not too sweet like a lot of northern cornbread is. The only thing I didn’t care for on its own was the mac and cheese, but you add some brisket or pulled pork into the bite? Magically transformed! I thought the $17 sampler price was more than reasonable for the amount of food it was. I had to save some for later.

Food was phenomenal! I ordered the platter and was so happy I did. The ribs are fall off the bone soft, the pork is amazing, and the BBQ sauces are delicious and unique. Our family can’t wait to go back again!
