My husband son and I went to the first night opening and were pleasantly surprised by Off the Bay! The food was delicious, the smash burger sliders, short rib croquets and wings are incredible as well as the French Dip sandwich! The dining atmosphere was balanced with a nautical feel with an upscale vibe and less cluttered than previous restaurants decor before them! Efficient service with a smile! Can’t wait to see and taste more!

This restaurant is exactly what this town needed, welcome! From the moment you walk in, you can immediately feel the positive change. The decluttered walls alone make a huge difference and really brighten the space.
My husband and I tried the Short Rib Croquettes, Smash Burger Sliders, Burrata Salad, as well as the Oaxaca Old Fashioned and the classic Old Fashioned. Everything was absolutely delicious!
It’s clear they are still transitioning, and knowing that, we shouldn’t be so quick to judge or rush to post negative reviews. The whole immature situation of businesses acting like they own the word “off” is honestly ridiculous and absurd. We should be supporting all of the businesses in this town, not tearing them down.
With that being said, wishing Off The Bay the very best of luck. We’ll definitely be back for more!

Off the Bay in Sayville is a fantastic spot for fresh seafood. The food was excellent , the seafood tasted incredibly fresh, and everything was prepared perfectly. The lobster tagliatelle was so delicious with a light lemon sauce. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout the meal.

The new owners have done an outstanding job refreshing this local favorite. They beautifully combined the charm of the previous concept with an elevated new concept. The space feels fresh and updated while still maintaining the character that made it such a beloved spot in the first place.
The food was exceptional. Everything was incredibly fresh and perfectly prepared, and you can really taste the quality in every dish. Each plate felt thoughtfully put together, and the attention to detail in the kitchen was clear from the first bite. I highly recommend the crab cakes, tuna poke, and the lobster tagliatelle, all were outstanding!
The service and staff were amazing. Everyone was attentive and very friendly. They create such a warm atmosphere and make sure every detail of your experience is taken care of. The staff is also extremely knowledgeable about the food, cocktail, and wine menus, which really elevates the dining experience. It’s clear they truly care about their guests, and that level of hospitality makes all the difference.
Overall, Off The Bay was a 10/10 experience. If you’re a seafood lover, I would highly recommend it. I’m already looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu.

My wife and I went for date night and were completely thrilled with the whole experience. We did a surf and turf thing our ourselves. I had the French Dip; so juicy. She had the Po’ Boy and was not happy to share it. lol.

Atmosphere is 10/10 and such a welcome upgrade to Sayville. The food was fantastic and all of the staff was awesome. Can’t wait to go back all summer long!
