God blessed us with our small family owned & operated BBQ food business in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2010, called Ofa’s Island BBQ. We are a part of a few local Farmer’s markets and we do cater private, special and corporate events. Our family is of Polynesian descent from the islands of Tonga & Samoa. Ofa in the Tongan language means love, hence our love for tasty foods from all over the world. We bring our own flavors and hope you enjoy a taste of island love from our family to yours. PLEASE NOTE (our schedule): We are at the San Ramon Farmer’s Market on Sunday. We are at the DOWNTOWN LIVERMORE Farmer’s Market on Sunday. Have been wanting to try Ofa’s for a long time, and finally got to try right before they were closing. The BBQ Chicken is amazing and the ribs were so tender. This hit my soul because the BBQ brought me back to Hawaii. That flavor and char was excellent. I doubt anybody else is doing it better. I’ll be back whenever I can because I work on the weekends so its hard to get there. But I’ll be back for sure. Thank you.

IF you like southern bbq, if your from Tennessee, Texas or all the above, this is THE place. I’ve had a lot of BBQ, but this topped my list. Me and my girlfriend drove by the place for so many years, and every time we roll down the window to smell. This was the first day I actually had time to stop, and im SUPER thankful I did. This by far has been the best BBQ. Im originally from TN, and I can honestly say, this place brought me back. 10/10 on every level. PORK RIBS are to die for.

The bbq chicken and their ribs are to die for. It’s the perfect balance of Smokey with perfectly cooked meat. They have a simple menu with generous servings. The family who runs the business is amazing and is always so welcoming and friendly. They do sell out fast! So get there early to order.

Just tried Ofa’s Island BBQ at the Livermore Sunday Farmer’s Market. The food was amazing, great smokey, sweet flavor and generous portion with the chicken, pork, ribs, rice and cucumber salad. We’ll worthy the money!

The Kalua pig and rice bowl are amazing! Juicy kalua pig and the rice is always moist, they’ve never served me dry rice and I grew up with them serving food at my swim meets. The cucumber/tomato salad goes perfectly with their food. Worth the visit every time! 🙂

Huge portions, big tender meaty ribs and the flavor is out of this world. Well worth every cent I spent. The island special was enough for two to dine on with leftovers. Would recommend and will gladly be returning asap! Make sure to check them out at Dublin farmers market.

Peni and his family put love and island flavors in every bite. Flavors are authentic and delicious, chicken is so moist, my son refuses to ear my dry chicken and complains and compares mine to Peni’s everytime. You get a lot of food for the price too! Can’t recommend enough!!

Waited a long time in line for a $17 meal of rice and burnt to a crisp pork with a very tough rind. Impossible to eat. Only plus side was the sweet and smokey smell.
