I love their sushi and their tapioca is fresh and chewy. I order here all the time and am never disappointed by the quality of their food. I prefer their normal sushi over other places nearby and their list of fruit teas and milk teas is great.. I reccomend the passion fruit fruit tea with mango popping pearls:)

I ordered a chicken habachi but had to return it, found a strand of hair in it. Next time hold the hair.

I got a veggie roll, which is supposed to have lettuce, avacado, cucumber, etc. and they only made it with lettuce, also the rice is undercooked.

My wife and I are from Texas. My wife and I were looking for a place to eat after a long trip, she suggested OEC, but I wasn’t too sure about it. We pulled into the parking lot and walked up to the door. Looking at the restaurant, it doesn’t look like much, but as we walked through the door, there was a nice homey atmosphere. The lady and her little son at the cash register brought the epitome of Japanese hospitality/customer service, and the food was amazing. It’s definitely a great place to stop and eat at.

I’ve eaten at several Japanese restaurants but never one like this. I ordered hibachi chicken. It was hands downs the worst I ever had. The chicken was grilled with some sauce drizzled over about a third of it. The rice wasn’t fried rice at all. It has nothing in it. There was a side of huge boiled carrots. The yum yum sauce wasn’t even very yummy. Unfortunately I’ll not be going back.

About 20 kids from my school trip came here unannounced, and the hospitality was unbelievably amazing. The single person working the counter was so patient and kind to every single one of us. On top of that everyone from our school loved the food and was so satisfied. One student proceeded to talk about the steak fried rice for the rest night. Highly recommend if your interested in great hospitality and good food!

Not what I expected. But it was Javanese food in Brookhaven, MS. The locals seem to like it. That is all that matters. I was expecting actual fried rice with onions, maybe some small, diced veggies, ect. Fried Rice seemed to be steamed and it was not seasoned….just plain white steamed rice. Chicken was bland with waaaaaayyy touch salty sauce. Again, the locals love it.

A quaint place to get a quick bite, while dishes may not be elaborate, they are cooked well, quickly and inexpensively. I got chicken hibachi and the chicken was cooked astoundingly well, I have gone to more popular Japanese restaurants that overcooked their food. all in all OEC Japanese Express is a great choice to go for a speedy, filling meal.

Great Food. Great Service. Very Quaint.
This place handled 30 kids on the fly better than most large restaurants could handle a small party reservation.
If I could give them more stars I would.

If you want a place to get “cheaper hibachi’ or on a budget this is the place to go! It’s great for the price. The sushi though, in my opinion isnt good at all. The hibachi is all I order from here. Staff are always super friendly
