The Gadbad chat was crispy, fresh and bursting with flavor. Strongly recommend it!
For the non-vegetarians Soni recommended the southern chicken which was a big hit! The coconut flavored curry was a nice change from the typical tomato based chicken curries.
Sai suggested the paneer kebab combo (Pahadi style) with dal makhani. Perfect level of spice. Paneer was fluffy and fresh.
The Butter Masala classic curry with chicken and rice was very good. The chicken seemed to be dark meat, but it was high quality. The sauce was flavorful with just the right amount of heat. Basmati rice was perfectly cooked. The naan was thinner than most and just a bit crispy, but good. My mango lassi was enjoyable as well. Also of note – portions were generous.
Counter service was professional and knowledgeable when I ordered, and they checked in during my meal to make sure everything was good.
The atmosphere was pleasant – modern and clean.
Definitely recommended if you’re looking for a modern, casual Indian restaurant.
Deepak is an excellent person. He is managing this location.
The best takeaway was the naan. They were extremely soft, and thin, easy to eat, and fresh. They were so soft and piping hot, you cannot help but pop them into your mouth to feel the soft naan with some hot paneer curry. If not for the portions, I would have given another star, but the price and the portions didn’t seem to match. Will definitely return again though, as the food was good. The server even came back and asked us how the food was.
This was a novelty when it was new. The menu, however, hasn’t changed in a few years (probably not since the establishment opened but I/we wouldn’t know). The base ingredients, for the vegetarian entrees, only consists of 2 or 3 items served in different combinations which when you think about it is a pretty good business model but doesn’t leave one desiring to revisit it.
I should note that the Chaat choices are the most interesting and tasty menu items.
The owners have been jacking up the prices continually to the point where there’s no value in visiting this eatery especially when there are much better [Indian restaurant] options within a 2 mile radius.
Recommended North Indian restaurant in dallas.
