Tonight’s episode: Hospitality… but make it a social experiment.
• Step right up to the counter where ordering feels less like service and more like an evaluation.
• No beer menu — just vibes. ️
You say “hazy IPA”…
He silently selects one like he’s assigning you a personality.
• No name ❌
• No description ❌
• No guidance ❌
• Just: “Here you go.”
Enjoy your anonymous beverage, citizen.
• Food menus?
Hidden on a pillar behind you like a reward for turning around at the correct moment.
• Party of 10?
Please proceed as 10 unrelated individuals navigating a self-checkout station.
• No:
– “How are you?” ❌
– “Can I help you?” ❌
– “Need anything else?” ❌
– “Did you find the menu hiding behind infrastructure?” ❌
• Order it right the first time… because there is no round two without rejoining the line. ⏳
THE TO-GO FINALE: ️
• Every person ordered separately.
• Naturally — everything was placed into ONE bag.
• When asked: “Is that everyone’s order in one bag?”
Response: “Uh… yeah.”
• Because clearly:
– Separate orders
– Separate destinations
= One communal food grab bag.
• And the look we got for asking?
As if wanting our own meals was an outrageous demand.
THE ONE “COOL” THING: ✨
• Vintage arcade-style games from the 80s & early 90s. ️
• Were we told about them? ❌
• Asked if we wanted to play? ❌
• Shown how they work? ❌
• Just nostalgic decor… functioning purely as ambiance. ️
Summary:
• Order blindly
• Hunt for menus
• Accept mystery beer
• Share to-go food by force ️
• Admire games you’re not invited to enjoy
Ambience: trendy
Service: confusing ♀️
Experience: ridiculous

They have many tables inside and outside and an attractively crafted hooked wooden bar with stools. The rambling, oddly angled dining room is reminiscent of a Bavarian beer hall.
The arcade room is nostalgically decorated, suggesting a childhood game room.
They have a free parking lot shared with the strip center next door. During events it can occasionally be challenging to find parking, but worth it for the buzzy atmosphere inside.
Although Austin features many brewery and food truck pairings, it is hard to beat this place for the quality of both offerings (currently featuring KG BBQ’s Egyptian fusion barbecue).
Great space with significant outdoor seating. They have a range of pizzas, but the main draw is KG’s BBQ in the parking lot.
