I was hesitant to write this review, but I always rely on reviews when trying new places, so I wanted to share my experience — not as criticism, but in hopes it helps both future customers and the restaurant itself.

I found this spot on social media, and the food looked amazing — definitely Instagram-worthy! I even told our hotel front desk how excited we were to try it. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to expectations.

After driving about 4–5 hours, all we wanted was a warm meal to end our night. This restaurant was in my top three list for our trip to Round Rock, so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived, a family walked in right before us, and there were only about 6–8 people at the bar and one table seated. There was no hostess, just a “seat yourself” sign, which was fine since we usually sit at the bar anyway.

Once seated, we quickly realized the bartender seemed to be the only person working. It took about 16 minutes before we were acknowledged. The family that came in before us actually left — probably a smart choice. When we were finally helped, my mojito came out quickly and was actually really good, but it took another 15–20 minutes just to get waters.

We ordered a cup of tomato basil soup to start since we were starving. It took 37 minutes to arrive, and while the cup itself was hot, the soup was completely cold and honestly inedible. We tried for nearly 15 minutes to get the bartender’s attention — by this time, it was just us and one other table. He apologized and said he’d bring out another cup, which we appreciated.

We also ordered the steak frites (medium), which took 43 minutes to come out. Unfortunately, the steak was raw and the food was cold. The bartender was kind and did take care of our bill, but we left extremely disappointed — all we wanted was a warm meal after a long drive.

The second cup of soup he brought was only half full, and that ended up being the only thing we could eat.

I’m giving 3 stars because the restaurant has potential — the atmosphere is nice, and the bartender did his best under the circumstances. But they definitely need improvements in food quality, service speed, and staffing. I probably wouldn’t return, but I do think with a few fixes, this restaurant could be great.

This is the only place I’ve found that serves absinthe drips (if you know what that is you know). They also have absinthe based drinks. This place is definitely a favorite now.

Ambiance is awesome. Good music but not blaring in your ear. Full bar and taps with an amazing look.

Highly recommend you check it out. Bring 4 for an absinthe drip.

Been seeing the ads, finally made a trip down the road for HH. Great spot! Nick was on point, drinks were cold and strong. We only did appetizers but we had 4 orders! Inside and multiple outside seating areas, wine room/closet whatever its called, and cocktails to order.

What looks like a strip center restaurant from the outside is hidden a brunch gem! We had such great food and service. The French toast was the best we’ve ever had!!!

I’ve been to Odd Bistro a few times and usually enjoy it since it’s close to home and the food/drinks are great . But this last visit was awful. We waited almost 40 minutes for food, and when it came it was lukewarm, like it had been sitting. Then the bartender (Courtney, I think) dropped the check only 10 minutes after our plates arrived, without even asking about another drink or dessert. It was my birthday, and I would’ve ordered something sweet, but I just felt rushed and annoyed.
They clearly have good food and drinks, but based on my experience and other reviews, the customer service is really lacking. I hope ownership does something to make this right, because otherwise it’s not worth coming back.

Hidden Gem With Class: A Speakeasy Vibe & Elevated Eats

Tucked directly next to I-35, this upscale bar strikes the perfect balance between vintage charm and modern sophistication. From the moment you step inside, the dim lighting, plush seating, and quirky ambiance transport you to a more refined era—yet everything feels fresh and current.

The bar program is outstanding, offering expertly crafted cocktails that show off both classic technique and inventive flair. My drink, Honey, it’s thyme, was light and refreshing with the ginger beer spice, while my wife had the “Going Bananas” which was a balance of tropical juices and rum floater. But what truly sets this place apart is the food. Their English breakfast is a masterclass in comfort and quality—hearty, beautifully plated, and made with top-tier ingredients. The chorizo breakfast burrito? A bold, flavorful standout. Packed with just the right amount of spice, it’s the kind of dish that lingers in your memory and keeps you coming back. Food Network host John Green has hit the mark.

Music was solid and there are tv’s above the bar. The club next door is a poker place and you wouldn’t know it’s there. Full menu available till 12 on weekdays and 2am on weekends.

Whether you’re here for an early brunch, an intimate date night, or late-night drinks with friends, this place delivers on all fronts. Upscale without being pretentious, nostalgic without being gimmicky—this is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates great food, great drinks, and a bit of mystery. Ritzy in Round Rock is here to stay.

If you’re traveling for work and you’re staying near this area do yourself a favor and use your per diem here. It has everything you need without the corporate restaurant feel. This place is all vibe and chill. Matt and Whitney are running a tight ship. The staff is outstanding: Marissa, Tim, Amanda, and Nick are wonderful. Frequent this place because they are special! The drinks will knock your socks off my favs are the espresso martini and old fashioned.

It’s one of those locations that needs a light shining at their logo outsid; because it’s a little dark to find.

But oh boy…. When you find it and come here, it’s a spectacular experience.

The food is casual and straightforward and very nearly perfect.

The service is friendly and to the point in a warm inviting room.

I’ve been here a couple of times of late and look forward to coming back.

Come here, have dinner, enjoy the entire experience.

My friend and I came here for Sunday brunch. It was not packed, the service was amazing, and the food was delicious! I ordered the French toast (although I wish it came with an additional item) and she ordered the American breakfast. $2 mimosas. Beautiful scenery. Patio seating and plenty of parking.

Went here on our date night. It was a very nice evening. We really wanted the Braised Short Ribs, but they had already sold out. The food was good, and presented nicely. Drinks were spot on and made with good liquor and ingredients. I would have liked the sprouts to be a bit more cooked (slightly Al dente) and I could have gone for a slightly larger slice of cheesecake (never had cheesecake made with goat cheese), but all in all it’s a nice spot to meet up with friends or a nice night out with your partner…. Will be back!
