Oceano is such a great place. It serves quality sushi, seafood, and steak. All the food we had was seasoned very well and tasted fantastic. Quality control was on point even when it was busy. Service is good the waiters are nice. The only con to the restaurant is that because it’s so delicious and fantastic it gets busy. If you want to eat here you’ll need to make a reservation or plan to wait for a table.

Yooooooo this place was good. If you love sushi I highly recommend because the quality is here. Where I live The seafood isn’t that great. The fish was so fresh and melts in your mouth. I sat here for a while and really enjoyed myself. Won some money and ate very good. The eel was my favorite then the mickey mouse. I WILL BE BACK!

I am beyond disappointed. This restaurant has gone from great to garbage.
• The Service: They are dishonest. The waitress misled us about food quantities and tried to sneak three extra items onto our bill. She fixed it too quickly when caught, suggesting this is a common tactic to rip off customers.
• The Food: Absolutely horrific. The Ramen and Teriyaki Beef tasted bizarre and were impossible to swallow.
• Health Hazard: We felt very sick to our stomachs right after the meal. We seriously doubt the freshness of their meat and ingredients.
It is clear this establishment no longer cares about its reputation or its customers’ health. Save your money and your health—go somewhere else.

Fairly good sushi, a bit on a pricey side. Beautiful decor and interiors. Large wall screens have panoramic views of various must visit places from around the world. Attentive staff. Cannot go wrong when visiting Reno.

This review is defective ONLY for the a la cart sushi, that is tge only thing I keep coming back for:) there are many AYCE sushi establishments in reno..so.e better than othets…. but… nothing in Nevada comes clise to these two a la cart rolls…. “Lobster rock” and “Dragon”, these are grade A++ quality and huge, I can barely finish one of these in a sitting;)

Oceano is still one of my favorite sushi spots at the Reno. The food is consistently good, and the interior of the restaurant is beautiful, which really adds to the experience.
It’s a great place for lunch or dinner, and the atmosphere is always enjoyable. They also offer a free private dining room (when available), which is a great option if you’re meeting with a larger group and want a more comfortable setting.
One thing to note is that the sushi rolls tend to be heavier on the rice, which can fill you up pretty quickly. Personally, I wish they offered smaller or lighter rolls, but the quality and flavors are still very good.
I also appreciate that they offer a local resident discount if you have a Peppermill players card.
Overall, a solid choice for sushi in a great setting.

Had dinner at Oceano inside the Peppermill — such a nice spot! The inside is beautiful and the prices weren’t bad at all for the quality. I didn’t try the all-you-can-eat option this time, but I’ll definitely be back for that soon. Great atmosphere and overall experience!

Came in for dinner last night 11/12/25 for my daughters b day. We went in for sushi
Let’s start with the service. Very fast and friendly. Our server Erica was absolutely perfect. Friendly, polite and was very attentive.
The food was very good. The rolls were very large and had good amount of fish. The muscles were the high light in my opinion. Price was higher then most for all you can eat. Food did have the quality to ask for $50 a person.
The restaurant was very clean and had a good vibe. The tables were a little cluttered to do all you can eat sushi for 4 people.
All and all I would recommend and will definitely be back in.
