We came here to try the gluten free battered fish. It was SO GOOD that we came back the next evening for more. The normal batter (for another member of our group) as well as the gluten free batter (for me) was delicious and very crisp. The fish choices were great and the Nannygai fish was so sweet and soft it melted in my mouth. Another absolute star of the show was the battered prawns! Cooked to perfection.
We chose to eat in so that the food was at its best. On the first day, we ended up taking some home (the servings are BIG), and even microwaved at the motel it was still yummy the next day.
On top of that they make and sell their own sauces that we tried first at the table.
Excellent prices and service with a smile.

Xmas holidays so 45min wait, but pretty much everywhere in Albany this time of year. Shop was full of smoke, i guess because do busy. Shark and chips was great. The crumbed scallops weren’t great but the potato and other salad they came on was great.

Used to get fish and chips here and it never disappointed. However, my last visit was awful when I ordered a takeaway tom yum soup on Sunday. The soup had pieces of soaked cardboard which I noticed while having had some soup already. Don’t think I’ll be buying from them again.

It says best fish and chips in WA. You can get this kind of fish and chips in any random cafe in Sydney. Place was busy, and I guess it was much busier and better when they awarded best fish and chips. Something went wrong i guess.

The food is really delicious and the music is relaxed but not overwhelming. The decor really gives off that sea fishing shack vibe. But the fish and the way they cook it is really good. You can also choose how they should cook it which is a bonus. Really like the mushroom wedges. Gluten free options available. Wish there was more parking. If you are a pensioner you can get a really good deal. Would recommend.

This is a good fish-and-chip shop along Middleton Road in Albany. They have indoor seating and do take-away as well. Opening hours are 11am to 8pm daily (closed on Mondays). We had dinner here recently and really enjoyed our meal.
Several locally sourced fish on offer along with a range of non-fish mains and sides. Fish is prepared several different ways (battered, grilled, crumbled). We tried their snapper and shark grilled with chips. Seasoning was nice, fish fresh and tasted very good. Service was friendly & timely. Prices reasonable, portion sizes just fine. Overall, very good meal that we’d be happy to repeat.

Fish tacos are bomb. The fennel pickles did magic in this dish, it tasted fresh and balanced.
Fish and chips is as expected.
The soup though was quite sad. It wasn’t hot, the red cabbage made it bitter, the aromatics was cut in big pieces overtaking the main ingredients and I only asked for no prawns but they also removed the scallops which I was looking forward to.
All in all, an ok first try and experience but just don’t order the soup. The order taker was helpful.

We ordered the fisherman set and a caramel slice.
Fisherman set was freshly cooked but the taste was slightly disappointing as we had a high expectation with the good reviews.
The caramel slice was very tasty and would be a must order if you drop by for a meal.
