I live here in town and always forget there is an eating establishment here. I like to support local and decided to try the Wednesday night Prime Rib special. The price can’t be beat and my hostess/server was really sweet. The meal was filling, but not my favorite ever. The prime rib seemed to have been reheated and the potato had no butter or sour cream or anything to help moisten it. Luckily the Au Jus and horseradish was plentiful enough to help with that. The salad was surprisingly my favorite part. Nicely sized with a hint of microgreens made for a tasty treat. I got a pastry to go from the case for my breakfast the next day, but it was pretty hard and stale. Again, luckily there was cream cheese frosting on top that helped with moisture. I will try again another time.

We had breakfast at the Ocean Bakery today and it was really delicious! I ordered the chorizo wrap and my friends both ordered paninis.
We shared an order of french fries and they were hands down the best I’ve ever had. The service was fast and the staff made us feel very welcome. Great service and food! We will definitely be back.

Bland!!! Do y’all not season your food???? Gosh, this morning I asked for a side of country gravy for my chicken fried steak because it was so bland/tasteless and the elderly lady gave me a freaking attitude. Once she gave me the gravy I thanked her and told her I appreciated it as she walked off and ignored me. Poor customer service for an establishment with tasteless food. Kind of wished I hadn’t tipped so much so it clearly wasn’t worth the service I was provided.

I’m not a coffee snob. But I know what espresso tastes like. I have had great espresso and mid espresso, even poor espresso, and still enjoyed it. This is the worst espresso I have ever had. I don’t believe it even came out of a legitimate espresso machine. It tastes like burnt nasty. It has no body. It’s like the worst combination of drip, Turkish, and FP. Frankly I’m offended AND CONCERNED that people think this is ok to drink AND TO SELL : (

The cashier…server…employee…I believe his name was Blake….He was so helpful and very kind to us. He had no way of knowing why we were having a Special Getaway together. I had recently been diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer. We ( our whole family, 5 grown children and two, 5 yr. Old Grandsons ( not twins, different daughters are the moms) and adult Grand daughter….Had all gone thru a very difficult Chemo Therapy Treatment week. It really does affect the whole Loving Supportive Family when going thru all of this. So my Wonderful husband had planned this Special Getaway ( just the two of us) to Seaside Beach.A very muchly needed Relaxing fun time together. My supportive daughters had gone to Wigland to get new wigs I needed since my hair falling out from Chemo. They also bought green wigs to support me Even my Loving husband put the wig on for a Supportive pic and my Amazing Son- in – law also took a pic ! What a couple of Awesome guys I have in my life ! So when I was on the beach..I had my husband video tape me pulling off my green wig…TO SHOW, NO FEAR OF THE PUBLIC, SINCE LOSING MY HAIR TO CHEMO !! IT WAS VERY FREEING FOR ME !! SO….YOU SEE…YOU NEVER KNOW WHO’S DAY YOU COULD BE MAKING…BY JUST A SMILE AND KINDNESS…. THE CASHIER/ WAITER BLAKE( I THINK) HE PROBABLY HAD NO IDEA HOW MUCH HIS KINDNESS WAS MEANING TO MY HUSBAND AND MYSELF THAT MORNING !!! MADE OUR DAY !! THANK YOU BLAKE !!! And the food was very good. They had a big selection of pastry items available . Everything was Delicious.!! I ordered a breakfast Panini sandwich….with avocado, bacon , and turkey and cheddar cheese. My husband ordered HUEVOS RANCHEROS, that came with country fried potatoes with bell peppers and onions.My husband said it was very good. I also couldn’t resist ordering 2 homemade blueberry muffins. Saved one for next day on our road trip. They were very moist. A blueberry scone also. That one was alittle too hard for me, I should have known…scones aren’t usually moist. But our overall experience was very good at the Ocean Bakery Cafe, inside the Best Western Hotel. They even had wine….check out the pic…..MY husband and I recommend the Ocean Bakery Cafe…. during your stay. Very responsibly priced also. Nice atmosphere also !! Convenient too !!

Amazing little hidden gem. Lots of comfortable seating, nice decor. But the pastries are amazing. Lemon blueberry bread, chocolate croissants, Bavarian cream tarts.
If you’re in seaside looking for a dessert cafe, this is the place. They also have a wide selection of drinks and food menu. Will definitely have to come back to sample more items.

I feel bad when a restaurant is under staffed and the service suffers. All three of the servers we saw were acting like they didn’t want to be there. The food was okay. It was served fast and everything was hot.
