Our Family LOVES Ocean Buffet in Gainesville FL. The food is always fresh and hot. The choices are ample, including while you watch them make Sushi and Mangolian bbq. The wings are soooo good! The soups are wonderful, and the buffet has abundant choices. At 3:30pm they start bringing out the Dinner items like oysters on the half shell, crab legs, coconut shrimp, etc etc. The waitresses are friendly and quick to remove plates, and refill the drinks. They also have a few American dishes like roast beef, pizza, alfredo, delicious fried fish, and steamed salmon. They also have a wide selection of deserts, and also 6 – 8 ice cream choices. Try it once, and you will want to go again and again!

Place was packed and staff was attentive. Most of the food was decent but I had one piece of fried fish I had to spit out because it tasted bad. Place is rundown and could use some attention. Definitely need to clean the ductwork. See attached photo.

Let’s call this what is is, a Chinese buffet!!! The food is good, there is sushi, peel and eat shrimp a few kinds of fish, but it’s NOT, by any means a seafood buffet. To use the word “ocean” in the name, you should lean more towards a seafood buffet, not a Chinese buffet. With that said, the staff was super good, polite, engaging, and attentive to my needs. I’d go back, but with the knowledge that the seafood is very limited.

It was a very relaxed environment. It was clean and the food was pretty good. Some of the dishes were excellent. Like the spicy octopus. They were very hospitable and I enjoyed my time with my family. I can see bringing a larger group here to eat.

Very nice buffet selections. Our Friday night dinner was good. The food quality was great. They have prime rib, crab, several different kinds of shrimp, a hibachi bar, sushi and much more. The soft drinks are not included in the price and is a separate charge. Decent atmosphere other than the servers eyeballing you and checking your plates LOL … But I felt pressured and rushed as the server lady kept wanting to give us our check. We weren’t even there for 25 minutes and she tried bringing the checks.. Needless to say I didn’t tip , Yea sure, the food was good… but she kept staring over at our table like we were never gonna leave. And we were in an out in under an hour..
And since when did Chinese restaurants stop giving out fortune cookies…? That’s the best part…

This is one of our favorite places for Chinese food! The fried lo mein noodles are particularly good. The vegetables with tofu are marvelous. There’s also some western style food such as Roast Beef you may slice yourself and potatoes. There is Sushi and Hibachi. Very conveniently located right off Interstate 75 near the Oaks Mall

Every time I have patronized this place (usually after 5pm), the food was kept well stocked and hot. Our table and seats were clean upon arrival. They removed the used plates promptly. We find the available variety of food more than adequate to get our bellies full.

The atmosphere was very nice for such an affordable buffet, and the service was perfect. The first thing that stuck out to me was the wide variety of foods which even included western food. They also have a hibachi grill and sushi. There were so many options that I questioned how they could manage to cook all these different dishes freshly. But the food was all OK and the veggie rice, teriyaki chicken and sushi were especially good. Most dishes were too heavy on the oil. I think they could slim down the variety and focus on doing fewer dishes better. Just some tips for the owner. 5 stars for extremely reasonable price.

this is not world-class Chinese Fair. But I really enjoy it. it’s buffet food but it’s always fresh. If some of the items that you wouldn’t expect to find are excellent peel and eat shrimp, steamship beef, deep fried soft crabs. There’s a nice selection of typical Chinese dishes. There’s also a make your own bar where you hand it over and have the chef cook it up for you. You can really kind of get whatever you want. lots of dessert choices. It can’t get crowded so the buffet lines can be a little tricky to manipulate your way through. But for a place to just go chow down on consistently good food it’s a great choice
