Fresh and high quality food. Great service too. You could taste that the burger was a really fresh 80/20 high quality grind. The bun was excellent too. Nice snap to the bite, moist, good chew. They had some daily specials, and I would certainly go back and try something new.

I am so grateful to have recently discovered Ocala Downtown Diner! My spouse and I are both vegan and this diner has a distinct vegan menu with an abundance of options. We ordered the Smothered Stuffer, Vegan Breakfast Sandwich, Sweet Potato Fries with vegan mayo, and Fried Pickles with vegan ranch and everything was truly delicious! Not only was the food yummy, but the employees were very kind and attentive. It was nice to be in such a warm and charming space where people from many walks of life can peacefully co-exsist ️ I look forward to coming back to try more of the menu in the future ❤️

Service from the server was great but whoever was in charge or the owner is not a good person. I just wanted two hot dogs. I was told it was $5 for an extra hot dog. They bring me out one bun with two hot dogs on it (don’t really see how that got confused but whatever) and I asked for a bun and got one, but after looking at my bill they charged me $3 for the bun.
I wouldn’t have even left this review if whoever was in charge would’ve came out and talked to me but they hid in the back the whole time the sweet server was trying to explain. They even told her to charge me extra for it. Do with this info what you will, but this tells me all I need to know about who’s ever in charge of that place!

What a find for anyone, especially vegans! Typically, restaurants have 1 or 2 vegan options. If we’re lucky but this restaurant has a full separate 2 sided, vegan menu, breakfast and lunch both served all day. The food was great came out fast and hot atmosphere. Amazing.

Stopped by Ocala Downtown Diner for breakfast and it’s exactly what you want from a classic diner. The menu is big, portions are generous, and the food comes out fast and hot. I ordered eggs with hash browns and toast, and everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned, not greasy. Coffee was constantly refilled and the servers were friendly in that old-school diner way where they actually check on you. It gets busy, especially in the mornings, but the line moves quickly. Solid comfort food spot that’s easy to come back to.

Great, friendly service! Great small time diner atmosphere! Lots of options for vegans, gluten free folk, and meat eaters. My wife and I came with or meat eating son and in laws. Everyone found something delicious and creative! I had the slaw burger with a beyond burger and a gluten free bun. The waitress pointed out that the gluten free bun had dairy in it, which we don’t mind, as I am vegan for health mostly. My wife had the GA burger which was delusions, and my son had the chili cheese fries without cheese and chili on the side. No problem with all of these special requests!

This place was amazing. The employees were very fun and polite while also being professional. The food was phenomenal and looked clean and was well presented. The restaurant was also very clean and comfy. Sitting at the counter I witnessed the staff working together as a team to make sure everyone was taken care of while supporting each other to make the work smooth and easy looking. There were many endearing and thoughtful characters working there as well. The wonderful Lady who thought out loud was especially hilarious as she made comments here and there while she worked. The Nerd with Pikachu Ears (Happy Halloween!) was fun to talk to about our common interests, and despite our disagreement on Speedy G, (I’ll die on that hill man) the tall guy was a lot of fun too! (I’m sorry I forgot everyone’s names ) Our server was a very nice lady who had just started working there and she was already quiet good at what she was doing from our perspective. There we’re regulars there too who made the place feel very comfortable and inviting as well, who spoke highly of the owner and the crew. I was very happy with our choice for breakfast and we plan to come back many more times. Thank you for the quality experience everyone!

Love this restaurant! They have the best coffee and the best breakfast. The Waitresses are super friendly. The first time I went to the restaurant was after church one day, then I told a friend about what great food they had then she and I ate there and it is now our favorite restaurant to go to.
