A couple of suggestions:
Previously, when playing darts, there were small chalk scoreboards hanging next to each dartboard. I think bringing those back would be helpful. We couldn’t really properly play darts and keep score easily without them.
Also, we ordered a few items off of the late night food menu. We ordered the chicken finger basket and the loaded tater tots. I didn’t have any of the chicken finger basket, but the rest of the group finished them all…which is a good thing considering we’re all restaurant workers with higher standards than most. The loaded tater tots (I think that’s what they’re called) i ordered had a bit of a misleading description on the menu. One would assume standard tots with the ingredients listed, on top of the tots. However what we recieved were 2 or 3 (maybe 4) giant lightly flour-breaded (and fried) tot-chunks. One of the ingredients listed in the menu was jalapeños. As we all know, jalapeños are a tricky ingredient, worthy of reminding the guest. Being all waiters and bartenders, we didn’t need reminding. And so when I ordered I specified when I ordered, jalapeños on the side please. And again when the order was repeated back to me. It’s a tricky ingredient, that most people eat in moderation, if at all, and so “on the side” suits everyone. When we recieved the non-traditional big hand-made tot-chunks, It was immediately apparent that they had a coating on them, it disappointingly was off limits for the gluten intolerant members of our birthday group. The rest of us dug in to realize mid-bite that the jalapeños are located INSIDE the chunks. Not only that, but those few in our group that enjoyed jalapeños couldn’t eat them because there were far too MANY jalapeños in the recipe. And so with that, none of us could eat them. I lamented to the bartender how I’d wished I’d known that the jalapeños were INSIDE the big chunks, she said she didn’t hear me (either time) I requested it. We both looked at each other, not speaking, for several seconds.
Not sure how to respond to that level of apathy, I ended the interaction with a final “Yeah it was just a bummer, that we didn’t know about that, or that they were those big chunks, or that they had a light coating. I was really hungry and looking forward to trying some food from the new menu.” We both sorta shrugged at each other, and I walked away… and that was that lol.
