Love this place! The lady working had great energy and was friendly, funny, totally on the ball and makes a great bloody mary! The food was outstanding! Best homemade tacos, reubens, homemade fries, ribs, and wings. Amazing prices too! Can’t wait to go back!

Stopped in for dinner and really glad we did. Turns out it’s a popular local spot with a unique take on homemade Mexican. Ended up getting a steak taco with a unique twist on the shell and a plate of nachos that were covered perfectly. Had a great meal and left full!

Love love love this spot! Different type of Mexican food as they claim it’s “Our” style of Mexican food. They have deep fried tacos and enchiladas that I’ve always loved.

My friend had a chicken basket with fries. We came here on a Wednesday night when all tables were full and bar side had many people at it. Ordered and served within 20 minutes. Quick service, kind waitresses, small town vibes, and large portions for cheap. $5 for a taco large enough to be your whole meal! Each night they have specials as well. Wednesday is meatloaf and I believe Tuesday is Tacos, but this is always a spot for a good meal out.

Small establishment with a cozy atmosphere. Average bar food with a Mexican style menu. Very large portions and very decently priced. Great service. Pictured menu items include chicken, steak and grilled shrimp tacos.

Next time we stop in I’m trying the burritos

Obie’s Bar is a true Maquoketa gem. The tacos here are absolutely incredible — the kind of crispy, golden, homemade shells you just can’t find anywhere else. Every bite is packed with flavor and you can tell they put care into doing things the right way. It’s not a fancy spot, but that’s part of the charm — cold drinks, friendly service, and hands-down some of the best tacos around. If you’re anywhere near Maquoketa, make the stop. You’ll be glad you did.

Nice family restaurant, although name indicates it’s also a bar. My chicken burrito was not like any burrito I have had previously. It was more like a chicken taco salad. It was very tasty, but it could have had more tomatoes.

I went there with some friends for lunch
The service was great! I ordered a burrito with French fries and was not expecting this huge burrito that was as big as the plate. It was very good and so were the fries. Nice place with a variety of choices from sandwiches, burgers and Mexican food.

Great homemade French fries and Buffalo chips. If you’re a Philly cheesesteaks and breaded tenderloin fan you will want to add Obie’s to your list of places to eat. We stopped here on our way to Maquoketa caves State Park and we are glad we did . Great little hometown restaurant.

Mom ‘n Pop restaurant feel, but you can feel the community in the atmosphere and everyone truly loves coming there! You can tell by the highly quality, large portion food as well! Come with a big appetite and ready for some amazing food!
