Excellent country fried steak. Great value, good amount of food for not a lot of money. Quiet, local spot with friendly wait staff. Was in Detroit for a car show from Pittsburgh, great local spot if you want to avoid hotel breakfast lol. Super fast service too, came on a Saturday morning.

Oakwood Coney is a great little restaurant with exceptional food. Their portions are large and their prices are average for a Coney and today’s economy. My family and I have been coming for years. They offer delicious soups and burgers. I’ve never had a disappointing meal here. There is one other thing that really stands out at the Oakwood Coney, and that is their staff. They have always been super attentive and extremely friendly. Next time you are in the area, give the Oakwood Coney & Grill a chance, you won’t be disappointed.

Wow! Neighborhood diner, catering to locals. Breakfast came fast, hot and filling. We got two big breakfasts for less than $10 each.
