I grew up going here. If you want a good sandwich, stop by. I go pretty basic here, roast beef on a french roll, dipped.
The roll is almost the star, great San Francisco sourdough, the roast beef is tender and sliced thin. The side salad is nothing much and the whipped potatoes with gravy are really good too. I’m enjoying my food here with a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

The Hof-Brau has excellent sandwiches and their entrées for lunch and dinner are always very tasty and they serve huge portions. The Asian food at the back of the restaurant is exceptionally good and again when you elect to dine in the portions are well worth the price. The atmosphere is light and friendly and the adjoining bar serves strong beverages, be careful if you don’t have a designated driver. This place you can’t beat the price for the portions they serve. A definite Thumbs Up!

Got the cheeseburger. Not bad at all compared to what I expected. Just takes a little bit of time for them to get it to you. That’s why I didn’t give them 4 stars. Good comfort food though and they even offer some Chinese and Vietnamese dishes. Haven’t tried those yet
