We celebrated my birthday and this was the perfect location. Lori, the manager, was wonderful. It’s like we were all family. She’s funny and very knowledgeable about the menu. She suggested the dessert and it was DELICIOUS! Warm sticky toffee pudding.
I picked this restaurant because of the fried Brie and it did not disappoint. It was so good. The cheese mixed with the chili sauce was a great combination. We also had the Burrata cheese with bacon jam, which was very good as well. We ordered different entrees and each was the absolute best.
The trout and the salmon were moist and flavorful. The flash fried spinach was surprisingly good. My new favorite side dish. The smoked chicken fried steak and homemade mashed potatoes the ultimate comfort meal. The steak was crispy enough and the right portion size. The mashed potatoes had the right balance of creaminess with bits of fresh potatoes. A great meal all around.
I was impressed in how cutesy the place is.
A beautiful wedding gathered while we were dining there.
Three stars ✨
+1 because the atmosphere was nice, regular noise, proper for conversation
+1 service was not the fastest (only 3 waiters) but it was ok because the place it’s enjoyable and peaceful
+1 the smoked ribeye was good and unexpected; the 3 dip appetizer was very good
-1 the wine selection was disappointing (Texas restaurants should support local wine)
-1 a fly landed in my wine and my Tuscan chicken pasta had zero flavor (salt and pepper didn’t saved that pasta). The chicken was supposed to be grilled but it was boiled instead ( ). The manager was walking around but not once came to any of the tables
Anyways, overall 3/5 because I was excited about the place but the food was a big let down
I got the Cajun Shrimp Eggs Benedict and was definitely not disappointed! My husband got the Chicken Pablano Alfredo, which was just as amazing. They had a nice wine menu with a good variety. Our server was wonderful, as was everyone we had talked to. Laurie, I believe her name was, also greeted us and chatted for a minute before we left. It was overall a very nice experience.
I would also recommend using their DJ (Patrick) and florist (Don). They all worked together beautifully. I always hear brides say this but it was truly a perfect night.
