This is a gem! The energy of the place is so calm, kind and lovely. Very reasonably priced, loved the menu options, half a sandwich and a bomb salad is awesome! They took my husband’s avocado allergy very seriously and didn’t make us feel like a burden. You can tell there is a lot of love put into the food. Cannot wait to go back, this is definitely a great spot for lunch. Cannot recommend more! I got a Reuben and salad

It’s a cute little spot with outdoor and indoor seating. Employees were nice. They had a busy day so there was no bread and we got the last gluten free wrap. Ordered the cowboy and it was pretty small compared to other photos that I’d seen that were loaded with meat. The BBQ sauce was overpowering with some saltiness from the pastrami. The beef and barley soup had a good savory flavor but lacked the beef. Pretzel was nice and soft with a golden outside. The Vienna artisan beer was enjoyable. The sun shines in on their refrigerated glass food and beverage display, I understand Arcata is not a sunny place all the time but I personally wouldn’t want to purchase items being in direct sunlight for periods of time.

It’s cozy interior, delicious food, and friendly staff make for a perfect lunch stop. They offer a selection a sandwiches and salads that will definitely satiate your hunger. The turkey bag sandwich and the Mediterranean salad were delicious.

Cool relaxing spot. Great local small batch beer. Sandwiches are healthy and delicious. Very friendly staff. Everyone was very helpful and suggested lots of great options to eat and drink. Fresh squeezed orange juice was a highlight. Great local spot, I highly recommend.

I have to say that these sandwiches are worth EVERY penny, but more importantly…..
I recently had a strange complaint (it happens, nobody is perfect). Though, it was the way it was handled…. we had a terrible phone connection and I couldn’t hear what the gentleman was saying and I’m sure he couldn’t hear what I was saying either. I was at work, in a hurry, and just tried to be clear due to the lack of being able to hear clearly…. anyhow, I actually received a call back with a beautiful voice message saying they would be happy to make my experience better. Even on a bad day, believe me, that sandwich didn’t go to waste!!! It’s not about my complaint nor was the order bad (everything was good) what really hit me was the care and customer service. Oak deli, if you read this, I’ll be back! Thank you for the call. I don’t need anything more, it was ate up with fat bellies and big smiles. I’m glad to know people care. Thank you! Looking forward to our next encounter

Beer is delicious. The Vienna was malty and was very enjoyable. The pale ale is old school with mild malt flavors and a soft hop profile. The sandwiches are fantastic. We got the Reuben and the Tony. The vinegar on the Tony took the sandwich up a level and the bread was soft. I don’t know if the pickles are house made but they are tasty as well. I’ll definitely be back.

Absolutely delicious! I had the brie & prosciutto, and it was delicious! I also had the caesar salad, and their dressing (clearly homemade) was scrumptious. My order was to go, and it did take 35 minutes to get it made, but it was more than worth it!

The absolute BEST Sandwich’s and Brews. Love this local place. Run by local family, the vibes, food and brews are divine! It’s well worth the occasional extra wait-time during busy hours. I took my food to-go today The 1/2 sandwich 1/2 salad combo hits the spot!
