The peeps here are amazing. Stopped in late one night….all the markets closed, and the crew here shared the New Year’s Day Buffet with my two two hungry daughters!! Such hospitality and the drinks were fantastic. Many thanks to Oak Creek Tavern.

Always love this place my very close good friend Dory works there and all the locals that I’ve missed for the past 5 years I was able to catch up with! Even one of my closest friends the mayor of Oak Creek. Spent about 5 hours catching up with old friends, it was great!

I think I’ve found the best bar in Colorado. If you are reading this and passing through town… and stop here… don’t tell anyone. Keep it to yourself. I recognize the irony in that I’m guilty for writing this. But it is just that good. Period. Bar tenders are pouring good drinks. You won’t find people making selfie posts on social media here. Amazing town. Location can’t be beat. Stop reading. Don’t come here and ruin it. Enjoy it and keep it to yourself. There are few corners of America left that are exceptional. This is one of those places. It’s not a five star resort exceptional. It’s real, un-curated exceptional. If you want a real place where you can get away… this is the last place I’ve found. This is where America lives. Get out and explore. Bonus if you find this joint.

Very clean, cozy, little bar. Stopped by there after fishing at Stagecoach. One of their beers was a green chili by soulcraft Brewing out of Salida Colorado and it was probably one of the best green chile beers I’ve had. Neat little place. Never would have known it was there unless somebody pointed it out to me and made me go in there.
