Oak Barrel Tavern located in Worcester, MA is a very enjoyable spot for dinner and drink!
Staff and bartenders are excellent with always a new tap to try. Oak Barrel has at least 4 changing taps with one of my favorite local breweries in Boston being Trillium. Please, oh please keep Trillium on tap!
Make sure to order a burger, be it a tried and true or chicken, vegan with onion rings, so so good!

When the wife greets you at the door & says too tired to cook let’s GrubHub! Many trusted options, but tonight we tried something new.. Glad we did! Everything arrived HOT and even presentable. Best onion rings on planet earth, guaranteed! Quesadilla were incredibly delicious and stuffed with good quality meat & Cheese. French fries were perfect, better than any other restaurant in area. Wings were tasty too. Looking forward to trying more of the menu. Did I mention the onion rings….

We had some family visiting in between travel stops, and we needed to find a lunch place close to home at the last minute. We were able to call at 11:30 AM and make reservations for 4 at 12:15 PM on Father’s Day. We were seated immediately. Our server Violetta was friendly and joked with each of us at the table during different portions of service. It was just the right amount. She checked on us regularly during service, also. We could not be more pleased with our service today. I ordered the clam chowder for $8.00. The serving was a good size. It was filling and tasted good. For my main I ordered the Greek Salad with Greek dressing. The toasted pita triangles were perfectly prepared, and I enjoyed the many Kalamata olives as well as the salad dressing. My wife ordered the Flatbread special of pear, goat cheese, and arugula. Based on our positive experience that checked every box from the taste of food to the excellent service, we will definitely be back for a meal soon.

Food is really expensive and not very good. Ordered lemon pepper tenders for $14, got 4 very skinny tenders and they were so oversalted that I could barely eat them. I also got a BBQ flatbread and it was soggy and undercooked. Service was okay. The waitress was friendly but unattentive. We ran out of drinks halfway through and she never came back to offer us refills. I won’t be coming back. $4 for one watered down Pepsi is a bit steep. Especially when no refills are offered.

I’m basing this review on the last few experiences I’ve had here and not solely on tonight’s meal because honestly my meal tonight was the worst I’ve ever had from here. Usually the food is fresh, hot, flavorful, and visually pleasing and the staff are friendly with a warm atmosphere. We never get take out but I had a rough day at work and just wanted to order in. However, I ordered a BBQ flatbread that was visually a mess, all the toppings were messily and unevenly distributed, and the bread was soggy. We got a kids mac and cheese for my daughter that looked delicious and creamy but unfortunately was very bland. We’ll definitely be back, but dine in only as I was really disappointed with this take out meal tonight.

Amazing food, and for beer lovers, this place is paradise. The customer service was definitely the highlight—I’ve never felt so genuinely welcomed anywhere else. A huge reason for that was Colleen L., whose outstanding customer service truly made the experience special. I will definitely be coming back!
