We were in Cateret, NJ to see a show and were looking for a place in Staten Island to enjoy authentic Italian cooking in a neighborhood setting. After an exhaustive internet search we found ‘Osfizio.
The place was busy with what appeared to be locals when we arrived and we felt welcome from the second we walked in. The owner Gennaro was extremely warm and personable.
The wine and food were outstanding. If we could rate it higher than 5 stars we would. The bread and red sauce is off the charts as was the food. All three of us agreed our meals were delicious.
If you want to experience the best of Staten Island authentic Italian food in a casual, welcoming, and fun environment visit ‘Osfizio! Gennaro your friends from PA will be back!

First time eating here today and it was a great experience. Gennero makes you feel like family the minute you walk in the door. Food was great, so was the atmosphere. It’s like a family dinner. O Sfizio will definitely be part of our regular routine now.

Amazing all around. Excellent food from appetizers to entrees. Everything was fresh and so well flavored. We had calamari,
octopus, and Tomahawk steak (event the spinach side had awesome Dijon flavor). This just totally changed and elevated our neighborhood. Amazing service and beautiful decor. Super clean and just pleasant all around. It goes to the top right next to Giove and Pastavinos.

We planned a girls’ dinner at ‘OSfizio and to say it exceeded our expectations is an understatement. The atmosphere and staff were welcoming and inviting, and the food was fresh and absolutely delicious.
Gennaro was beyond attentive to our needs, recommending spectacular dishes and ensuring our plates and cocktails were full. We didn’t feel rushed out at any point.
We were welcomed like family.

Went in on Valentine’s Day so obviously the price was hire ,had no reservations was met by a really nice casually dressed host ,and even though the place was packed he seated us within 2 minutes. The atmosphere was great with the host making sure we were ok, the food was absolutely great and even though we were not of a certain ethnicity the other 2 couples that were there that looked like us were treated with respect and with dignity it was truly an outstanding experience with truly delicious food,thank you to all the staff.

O Sfizio is a very cozy, comfortable atmosphere, the owners Mario, & Sal are very nice, caring and treat you like family. The food is great and worth it 100 percent. The service is wonderful and one of the servers name Jerry is very friendly, respectful, and on top of his game. I would recommend you taking a date, your special someone or family here to experience the service, the atmosphere and the amazing food. I can promise you that you will not be disappointed at all! If you go there tell Jerry, Richie’s Grandfather Scott, told me to come enjoy the services and excellent food.

We got the chicken parm and linguini vodka. The bread and sauce they give to start was really good! The meatball apetizer was pretty good too. The chicken parm was pretty basic, nothing special but not bad just average. The pasta was good but a pretty small amount for the price. We got creme brule for dessert and it was also good but not great. Also just want to note that we sat in the outdoor area and it was pretty cold, the heat only worked part of the time

1st time here. The food is unbelievable in how good it is. The service is above average. Excellent menu, I selected the papardalle bolognese and it was perfect. For dessert I had Baba Napolitano and it was a dream. Overall, if I could give the rare 6 stars I would. Very highly recommended.
