Wow!! What an incredible experience. We were visiting Jax and O-Ku came highly recommended. I brought my mom for her birthday. Every single person we interacted with was kind and helpful, especially Dustin and Chase.
The food was spectacular and turned my mom onto sushi for the first time. I recommend Oceanside and So’s.

Located one block from the beach is O-ku. I truly enjoyed dinner here. I had the pleasure of having Dustin as my server. I highly recommend the otoro spoons and the sushi tacos. If you would like to do the omakase, I recommend calling before and making a reservation. There is a rooftop, but I didnt get a chance to check out.

We are in Jacksonville for a game and stumbled upon O-Ku while looking for a dinner spot — what a fantastic find!
We ordered a few sushi rolls and the wagyu tartare toast, and everything was incredible. My husband loved his beer, and I had the “Take Me to Church” cocktail — so good! Our server was wonderful and very thoughtful — he even brought us a complimentary rock shrimp and kept the sauce on the side in case our 6 year old didn’t like it. Such a kind touch!
For dessert, we got the yuzu eclair, which was delicious, and to our surprise, we were also brought a plate of mochi while we waited. The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch.
Highly recommend O-Ku to anyone visiting Jacksonville — we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

This was hands down the best sushi restaurant we’ve tried in Jacksonville. Every dish was flawless, and the salmon was truly top quality. I’m usually not a big fan of cucumber in sushi, but even that tasted amazing with the way it was paired with the other ingredients. The only thing I didn’t find to be a perfect 10/10 was the dessert, but that could just be my personal taste or maybe I went in with expectations that were too high. Either way, everything else was outstanding, and I would 100% recommend this place. The service was excellent as well, and I honestly can’t wait to go back!

I went for the 1st time in Dec. for my anniversary. We were greeted by multiple staff wishing us a happy anniversary. The waiter brought us complimentary brussel sprouts & then later yellow tail tuna to help ‘celebrate our anniversary’. At the end of the night the waiter brought out a gift bag that included 4 gifts & a card signed by the entire staff. It was amazing. Never have I gotten gifts from a restaurant, maybe complimentary food. But this gift bag had 4 great gifts! I liked & will use each & every one of them. The food & drinks were wonderful. The entire night was amazing & little did the restaurant know, after dinner on the beach my boyfriend proposed to me. The restaurant had no idea that what they did helped make my proposal night an even better story.

Saw this place on TikTok for as a good date night spot, and on the last night of my gf visit in Florida I decided to take her here and try this place out !
Oku has 2 level a downstairs level and a rooftop where it see Jax beach as well have heater during the cold breeze.
We order drinks:
My partner got a sugar and spice with tequila with a sugar rim which was good combo of spice and sweet not heavy on the tequila as well
I order the forbidden fruit which was a good kick
We started off with a bit of apps of seaweed salad nothing goes wrong with that for sure, order the wagyu temaki which was amazing as well the rolls were freshly made !
I also got the octopus nigiri which was amazing as well forgot to take a picture of it
But before the rolls arrived our server brought us shrimp tempura which he said was a gift from him!
The service provided by our server was great! I really enjoyed it and it definitely made the first experience great definitely will do this again when my partner flys back out to Florida !

I celebrated my 50th bday and chose O-Ku. Heard many amazing things BUT to tell you it’s amazing is not doing it justice. Rachel was by far the best person to have for our waitress. She took us on an adventure and the journey was amazing from start to finish. Not only was she amazing but she felt like family. She brought me a gift bag and dessert on the house that made me smile ear to ear. Come visit and ask for Rachel every time. Can’t wait to return.

Our first visit. Excellent all around. Service from Mario was terrific. He explained the menu thoroughly and had good suggestions. Hard not to enjoy the food. We tried many dishes as you can see in the photos. Definitely give it a try.

We celebrated my sister’s birthday at this place, and it was an absolute treat! It’s a really cool and unique spot with a great atmosphere. The staff is super professional and well-dressed, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend making a reservation if you’re planning to go. It was an overall great experience, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who loves sushi!

Five stars as usual… not my first time but I was so blown away this visit and wanted to leave a well deserved shout out to our amazing server last night Joe! We love going to o ku for special celebrations, our 7yr anniversary was the occasion for this time! Joe took exceptional care of us all night (the whole team was lovely and attentive!) he sent us out an order of the yellowtail carpaccio (his treat) and gave us a goodie bag filled with snacks, a candle & a reusable film camera! Plus an anniversary card signed by the whole team. Wow… thank you guys for making us feel so special. We ate and left no crumbs as usual. Best sushi you can find anywhere in Florida!
