The menu leans upscale, with prices higher than most sushi spots, and while portions were small-plate style, the quality didn’t always match the cost. Several dishes felt underseasoned or inconsistently cooked, including scallops and shrimp that were undercooked. Some of the more traditional or “authentic” sushi offerings also didn’t quite meet expectations compared to similar dishes I’ve had elsewhere. The regular sushi rolls were solid, though.
They do have a very extensive alcohol menu. Our group wasn’t drinking, but I did try one of their non-alcoholic drink options, which was fine—nothing standout, but decent.
With tip included, most people spent around $50–$75 per person (and it would have been closer to $75–$100 if appetizers were fully split). Even then, many of us left not feeling very full. I was excited to try some of the more authentic dishes, and that’s where it fell short for me. Overall, great service and atmosphere, but the food quality didn’t fully justify the price point.
Amazing rolls. We tried several and liked each one.
One item we tried was exceptional. The Otoro Shots! I can’t recommend this enough! How can something in a shot glass pack so much flavor, Amazing
If I had to pick a best bite ever, the Otoro Shot would be it! So good.
Lastly was the Chocolate Namelake. Nice semi-sweet way to top off a great meal.
Thank you O-Ku!
We were both asked if we had allergies. I do. To anything dairy. After we ordered. The main manager came up to our table to let us know. One of the dishes ordered, had dairy in a product that was already made. I verified I had pills with me, just in case if I had any reactions. My bf ordered the Chicken Teriyaki, I had ordered: Bao Buns and The G.O.A.T(out of the Specialty Sushi Rolls).
We both think that the chicken Teriyaki was way little food for the price.
The sushi was okay. The goat cheese was barely noticeable.
The Bao Buns was my favorite. The Buns has the dairy in it. The sauce was put on the s I de because it was mentioned it would be spicy. And im not good with spicy foods. Im glad it was put on the side, because I would of not been able to enjoy the Bao Buns if the sauce was on or in the dish. The duck meat in the Buns was amazingly good.
I came to the restaurant with my husband to celebrate my birthday, and I was presented with a personalized birthday card, signed by all the staff, and a meaningful gift – a book about arts (and I love arts!), from the restaurant ! Talk about class and service! The pictures are attached. Needless to say, the food was phenomenal, and the atmosphere just perfect for the occasion . I loved every moment of that evening! And every dollar was well worth the experience! Thank you to our server, John, and to the amazing chef and to all who made this happen. We will be back for more special occasions. This is now our go to place in Greenville.
Shown in the pictures are crispy brussels sprouts, shishito peppers, oyster mushrooms, crispy rice (with sashimi), vegetarian crispy rice (with avocado), rock shrimp, rainbow roll, reedy river roll, paladin roll, volcano roll, greenville goddess roll, tropical cheesecake, and sata andagi.
We were in Greenville and made reservations while we were in town.
John Zuffoletti the General Manager greeted my Wife and I as soon as we walked in the door and continued to check with us throughout our meal. He made us feel at home right away. Our Server, Anita came over to introduce herself and was
very welcoming as well. Her suggestions were spot on. She was
very Professional and engaging.
I highly recommend O-ku as well as all the other Indigo Road Group restaurants.
