A pleasant surprise tucked into an inn in scenic Wolfeboro. The menu is far from revolutionary, but the dishes are well-executed and worth a visit. Fine elevated American fare with some twists. Try the Orange Chicken, the Escargot, and the fries.

My family and I went in for dinner on a Saturday. Food was delicious, there was a variety of options which was great. Our server was Mady, she was phenomenal, very friendly and on top of it considering she was very busy. I ordered the smokey margarita and I absolutely hated it (preference) she took it right off and suggested a very delicious margarita (hibiscus margarita).

Beautiful looking restaurant, lovely ambiance. Our waitress started out great but peetered out. She forgot our second round of drinks which we ordered before our meal arrived. We had to remind her and ended up getting our drinks after we already ate all our meal. The filet special was amazing however! Great flavor! I got the vegetable pad thai. The dish was super tasty but it was definitely not pad thai. It was more spicy soy, it was good but not what I was anticipating. I will try this place again as all the O’s restaurants are usually fabulous.

Great food and a reasonable price. We ate in the pub, which was nice. Burgers, fries and brussel sprouts were perfect! Servers were friendly and helpful.

We went to Chill on the Hill last night as a family (including 2 children) and had the best time! The event was packed with families enjoying the entire evening. There were ice sculptures, tasty food and drinks, tubing for the kids, fire pits, great music by a dj, and corn hole. It is an event that we will definitely attend next year. We also look forward to going in for dinner soon. The staff was also wonderful. I had a headache when I got there and one of the staff members was so friendly and quick to find me ibuprofen and a cold water to be able to fully enjoy the night. Thanks for a great event!

We went during restaurant week and the food was delicious. Great atmosphere and we have never been disappointed. They also have a beautiful area for a wedding. Heading for our 3rd one there this summer!

Food is pretty good, but a bit overpriced. Service was horrible. We wanted additional drinks but the server didn’t come back to our table till we were finished. The water on the table was terrible town water.

We love to try new restaurants and establishments in our town but had originally assumed O Bistro was well out of our everyday price range. On a whim while driving by in the rain, I thought how it was just my daughter and I that evening, and I did not feel like cooking dinner. We entered and were pleasantly surprised that the place felt inviting and we weren’t “underdressed” in our jeans and sweatshirts. Immediately, we were greeted very warmly by a hostess who asked if we would prefer to eat in their pub area or their dining room. She showed us to a lovely hi-top table in the pub area where about 5 other couple parties were seated. We perused the menu and were pleasantly surprised that the prices were no more than any other similar style restaurant in the area. Our server was very attentive and personable. She made us feel at home immediately, recited some food and drink specials, and offered some suggestions when we told her this was our visit to O. They make their own variations of sangria, which was delicious, and the owner Patti introduced herself and told us how happy she was that we took the chance and decided to stop in to her establishment. She warned that if we were looking into the appetizers, the portions were substantial. Our server started us off with some fresh baked baguette slices that were crusty on the outside and soft and warm on the inside served with a compound butter. My daughter ordered the pork potsticker app and a ‘side’ of their homemade 5 cheese macaroni and cheese with cavatappi noodles. The side was way more than she could finish, and I can’t even imagine how big the full-sized entree portion was! I ordered the roasted quarter chicken with sour cream and chive homemade mashed potato and steamed whole young carrots. For such a basic sounding meal, it was anything but. The chicken was perfectly season and juicy, the flavor of the potatoes was incredibly delicious, and the al dente texture of the carrots (which at many places can be typically soggy and straight out of a freezer bag) was perfect and everything tasted as if it were locally sourced or picked that morning. Their menu offerings are based on in season ingredients, and we were told items rotate regularly. They also made us aware of the all you can eat Easter Brunch Buffet to be held this Sunday in their big renovated barn venue that they use for just such special holiday meals and events such as weddings and parties. By the time we were done, we had to take home leftovers and skip on dessert, but the offerings sounded amazing. It was clear to see that their executive chef is an artist who knows his craft well. By the time we were finished, we parted ways with Patti with a hug and a promise to be back soon as regulars. O Bistro is without question our new favorite restaurant in town.

A hidden gem of a restaurant we want people to go to so it stays open. The food is excellent and well priced. The wait staff is very nice. We feel it’s on par with Portsmouth’s better restaurants.
