I’ve been ordering takeout from here regularly since they first opened and have always really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, something seems to have changed recently.
The naan in particular tastes very different now. It used to seem freshly made, and you could even order garlic naan. Now that option isn’t available, and the naan tastes more like packaged bread rather than something made in-house.
The rice has changed as well. It used to have visible spices and a rich flavor, but lately it’s just a plain yellow color and much more bland.
I’m not sure what adjustments were made, but the quality doesn’t feel the same as it did before. I’m hoping this is temporary because I’ve really liked this place in the past.

The chicken over rice plate is way smaller for the same price. Been going here for years and I’ve always been happy. This time? Me and my husband are disappointed. Definitely different taste as well, and spicier. (Especially bc we ask for nothing spicy and was always accommodated) Not as fresh as it was years ago, unfortunately.

Don’t miss out on the best halal spot in the entire region!! My girlfriend turned me on to this gem Been making this a frequent stop of ours for a long time to come! The portions to price is excellent they are super consistent and always hits the spot! Plus the desert selection is top tier!! Our favorite dish is the lamb, beef and chicken platter combo everything on it and don’t sleep on the hot red sauce it’s got a proper kick that’s full of flavor!

I want to start this by saying this was the absolute best food I’ve ever tasted in my life. Being my first time coming to NYC grill I was unsure of the menu. The young girl at the counter was super nice and patient which helped me feel much more confident and relaxed to order. I ended up getting the lamb and beef on pita. When I tell you this food slaps I mean it SLAPS! I was audibly saying oh my god the whole time I gobbled it up. The hot sauce they make is awesome just pure spice I loved it! The white sauce was so good I think they should offer it by the gallon, I will be back for sure because this just changed my whole palette. Thanks so much for the amazing food!

Everything was absolutely amazing! The food was incredibly flavorful and perfectly spiced. They had a wonderful selection of Middle Eastern desserts, all so delicious. Even our boys (5 and 7) enjoyed every bite — which says a lot! They were also treated to a special ice cream from Faiyu, which made their day. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we can’t wait to come back!

If you are from NYC, don’t go here. I’m not sure if the other pictures are fake or not but I got a mixed platter, barely any meat besides tiny little shreds and all the meat tasted like fish, which is odd. Hummus was good but not worth the price for everything. Go to Shahs halal, big chunks of meat, halal rice- if you’re local. Or go to sizzling bites if you’re in Bethlehem. This tasted like butter chicken mixed with a fishy flavor and the rice was biryani rice, which is more Indian flavors. Been excited to try this place for years and super disappointed by the flavors and quality.
