I’m happy to give this place the thumbs up. The sandwiches are really good. I can’t wait to explore the menu some more. I’m a big fan of french fries and this place does not disappoint. Nice big crunchy french fries, with a large serving size. The menu and vibe really reminds me of a NYC food truck.

Do not overlook this resturant. This is one of the best sandwiches i’ve had in a long time. The regular sandwich is on a round roll. The giant or large comes on a ten to twelve inch roll. If you’re very hungry, go for the large, but it is a ton of food. Service is pretty quick but this place does get busy around lunch time. I might have waited ten to fifteen minutes.

What a cool find! The food was fantastic and the associates working were polite and did a great job prepping my order. The orders can take about 30 minutes since it’s cooked to order. We just hung around the store and looked at all the cool stuff so we didn’t mind. This place is pretty authentic so it’s worth the wait! Go give it a try for sure!!

I had the pleasure of checking out this hidden gem recently, and it did not disappoint. Though located inside a smoke shop with no indoor seating, don’t let the setting fool you—this spot is all about the food.

I went with a classic chopped cheese and chicken over rice combo. Both dishes were cooked fresh to order, so expect a bit of a wait (around 15 to 20 minutes), but trust me—it’s worth every second. The flavors were bold, well-seasoned, and satisfying. You can really taste the care that goes into each order.

This is one of those spots you might overlook at first glance, but once you try it, you’ll be hooked. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

Review: A Flavor Mosaic at NYC Express Deli Takeout in Springdale

NYC Express Deli’s Salmon and Rice is truly out of this world. Having sampled salmon dishes across the country—including in the seafood-savvy Pacific Northwest and at high-end, trend-conscious establishments in the Washington D.C. area—I can confidently say that this dish stands apart. The pairing of salmon and rice here is not just delicious, it’s harmonious. The flavors interlock like a mosaic, each enhancing the other without overpowering.

During our visit to NYC Express Deli’s Takeout in Springdale, we shared four dishes, each unique and memorable in its own right. The Philly Cheesesteak was a standout, with its ingredients blending seamlessly in both flavor and texture—crafted with a care more often seen in upscale bistros than casual takeout joints.

The Chicken Over Rice was another highlight. Their rice preparation deserves special mention—mildly spiced yet flavorful, aromatic, and perfectly cooked. It served as a beautiful foundation for the tender, well-seasoned chicken.

Our final dish, the Lamb Gyro, was equally satisfying. Juicy, well-marinated lamb, paired with fresh accompaniments, made for a fulfilling and balanced meal.

Beyond the food, the staff at NYC Express Deli were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming—something that elevates the entire dining experience. The prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality offered.

In a world where five stars is the max, I’d give them ten.

$11 pastrami sandwich on a hamburger bun? Not on this planet. There’s absolutely nothing NYC about this place. I should have known there was something wrong when I asked for no lettuce, tomato, or mayo on a pastrami sandwich. This is an insult to NY sandwiches. Tasted horrible & soapy & ingredients not even close to matching the price, will never be back.

NYC Deli in Springdale is hands-down one of my favorite spots! Their customer service is truly above and beyond you can tell they care about every order. The food is always fresh, and the bread is NEVER soggy (which is huge for a sandwich place!). The flavors are amazing every single time. Plus, they stay open late, and the quality doesn’t drop one bit I’ve ordered at 11:30 p.m. and it’s still just as good as during the day. Definitely a go-to spot if you want great food and great people!
