Driving to San Antonio from Hidalgo, we wanted to eat on this New Years Day.
I saw that New York Joe’s was a 4.4 and was open.
The place smells like it needs a major cleaning. A major cleaning could make it a pleasant smell.
Food was delicious, I had the Fettucini Chicken Alfredo and it was good.
Calimari appetizer was good as well.
Gallic Bread was made to perfection.
If you have a chance to visit, just do it.

We ate dinner here yesterday, the first time for both. Hubby had the Stromboli. I had the Chicken Florentine. Our waitress was friendly, quick and seemed knowledgeable about the menu. She made several recommendations; my entree being one of them. We enjoyed our meals and the bread that was served when we sat down. The salads were a little droopy (brown lettuce, old looking) but the ranch dressing was very good.
The restaurant was clean, restrooms were clean, and table location comfortable.
We ordered as mentioned above, hubby ordered a house salad (mine came with my meal), I ordered a side of Italian sausage, and we both had tea. Our bill was $40.55. We figured $20/person for dinner was not bad at all.
We will eat here again. Maybe try the pizza.

Came in for a family dinner of 4 with a small child. High chairs present, thank goodness. Monica was our waitress, great job Monica! Thank you for brewing a fresh pot of coffee so late at night for us. Order taken and drinks brought out. Garlic knot bread was very delicious but needed to be a little warmer. Spaghetti with meat sauce, chicken alfredo, chicken parmigiana, and chicken siciliana. All tasted very well, noodles were perfectly cooked, al dente. The chicken in one of the dishes was not cooked throughly. Restaurant is very clean with numerous places to sit. Great for large groups. Will be returning.

Food and service were a big surprise for a town the size of Alice. The pizza was delicious putting it in my top 3 favorite pizzas. The chicken Alfredo was very flavorful and creamy. The chicken was grilled and hit all the right flavors to compliment the creamy sauce and noodles. Will be on our to go place when we are in the area.
