We stopped in today for lunch on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in October. We had our pup with us, and he needed to get out of the car for a minute. We wandered around the food cart pod and found the cart we came for. The service was polite and friendly. We ordered some bacon jam grilled cheeseburgers and some dirty fries plus a separate patty for the pup. It came out hot and ready in about 10 minutes.
We received our order and went back to the car to get back on the road. Fed the dog his patty, and he, of course, crushed his burger. We decided we should probably eat ours too. The bacon jam smashburger was very good, super thin patty with a nice sweet bacon jam on top. Highly recommended. The dirty fries were also pretty good, a bit sweet from the burger sauce, but the pulled pork was a great touch. Well worth the short detour from where we came from to try this great spot. If you’re looking for a good local option in south Salem, I recommend you stop in here and give them a shot.

My picky 5 year old LOVED her smash burger. She says “this is the greatest food in the world. You should come everyday”. My Hawaiian smash burger was top-notch. Customer service was amazing. The lady that was working made my daughter feel very special Thanks!

Such yummy burgers!! The crinkle cut fries were delicious. I tried the kimchi burger. Great meat from Better Beef. They also have salad, bowls and shakes! Very kind people in the truck too! Thanks NW Smash!

The food was hot fresh and delicious! The service was really polite and patient and friendly. The beehive is nice in many ways but they seem to really cater to country music, every time I’ve been there is been cringe worthy music.

Last Saturday at around 3 PM, my family and I went to the food cart pods! I went to this establishment and asked if they served veggie burgers, they confidently said that they did and that would be no problem. After over half an hour my buzzer finally goes off to let me know that my food is ready, and to my surprise when I walk up to the window, neither my tater tots nor my burger were ready. The staff told me that they actually did not have what I ordered and offered to refund me. I was happy to order something else off the menu, but this time asked to pay after I received my meal. They refused and the girl Who originally took my order became extremely abrasive and aggressive when I asked to pay when I picked up my food. She said that I would likely “steal the food” if I did not pay for it. I told her I just didn’t want to pay over $20 and wait over 30 minutes to not have any food…. AGAIN. When I calmly asked why they waited over 30 minutes to tell me she then responded, and I quote “you are being rude”. I’ve worked in customer service for over 15 years, and frequent restaurants on a near daily basis and I have NEVER seen such hostility towards a customer when it was the restaurant who was at fault. I’m a millennial and hate leaving bad reviews (it’s been over 7 years since I left one), but it’s a week later after this interaction and my jaw is still on the floor. Please treat people better.

Went into the beehive station and they’re not open at 3:20PM. Says they won’t be reopening until 4PM with no warning. Nothing mentioned online about any breaks at all. Guess we’ll just choose another place because not only has NW smash jacked up the prices on everything theyre never open

Great atmosphere. I love the food cart vibes. The guy working was definitely an awesome person, and I truly enjoyed what he was doing.. and it looked very clean inside..other then that the burger and fries were alright, definitely not the best, but far from the worst worth stopping by for a decent burger.!
