The service was flawless and highly attentive. Every staff member was professional and dedicated to ensuring our experience was spectacular, going above and beyond to make the evening feel unique. This level of dedication to the guest experience is what sets Nusr-Et apart.
We enjoyed the spectacular signature steak. We did find the steak preparation, which uses a traditional clarified butter, to have a very bold flavor profile, and the baklava was made with a deeply aromatic traditional oil (likely sade yağ) that had a distinct, strong taste. While these flavors weren’t exactly to our personal preference, we recognize they are authentic elements of the traditional Turkish preparation and add to the unique cultural experience of the restaurant. If you prefer simpler flavors, it’s something to be aware of!
Finally, be prepared for the premium pricing, as the cost reflects not just the quality of the ingredients, but the exceptional level of service and the dazzling, high-energy environment you are paying to enjoy.

However, there were several aspects that affected the overall experience. An automatic service fee was added, even though we were only two people and not a group, which felt unexpected. The service was also disappointing—the staff came across as rude and unwelcoming, with no smiles or warmth.
Additionally, the entrance was confusing and not very appealing; going downstairs gave the impression of entering a different venue, making it unclear whether we were actually entering Nusr-Et or another place.
Overall, while the food was tasty, the service and first impression significantly detracted from the experience.
What truly made this experience unacceptable, however, was the service.
Our server consistently failed to perform even the most basic duties. Ice was forgotten, water was never refilled, and despite requesting the check, it was repeatedly ignored. When we finally had to ask again for both water and the check, there was no apology, no acknowledgment, and not even the slightest attempt at professionalism or courtesy.
What made this experience especially frustrating was the timing. This was a restaurant visit on the very last day of the year—a moment when one would reasonably expect at least a minimum level of attentiveness and hospitality. Instead, we were met with indifference and poor service throughout the meal.
Service defines the dining experience, and in this case, it completely failed. This was a deeply disappointing way to end the year, and I have no intention of returning.
My waiter Drej was amazing!! And when the dessert came they did a nice show.
