The only thing better than our dinner was the service, and our dinner should have cost three times more. And to top it off, my wife is a vegetarian with allergies and it was no problem. They changed ingredients in dishes for her and our entire family left happy and full… and sad that we live 850 miles away. We are here for a week and we’ll be back every day.

Came for an early dinner, our waiter was super nice and welcoming. He was the only person working the bar and tables . It was just us and another table so the wait was not bad at all. The table, buster was quick and continuously came to us to clean up and fill our waters. The food was absolutely delicious, we got fried calamari for appetizer , minestrone soup and a salad, spaghetti fra diavolo, rigatoni boscaiola, farfalla al samone. Everything was delicious however the spaghetti fra diavolo with the calamari was a tad fishy . Much different than the fried appetizer. We definitely will come back again.

Stepping into this small Italian Nuova restaurant felt like entering a warm embrace. While the decor leans towards a more traditional style rather than a sleek, modern aesthetic, this actually contributed to the wonderfully family-friendly and inviting atmosphere. It felt comfortable and lived-in, in the best possible way.
The menu was a delight to explore – truly vivid and full of tempting options. The specials on offer were particularly enticing. We decided to start with two appetizers, and both were fantastic. The burrata with arugula was fresh and creamy, a classic done well. The “meat in eggplant” was a more unique and equally delicious offering. We also shared the farfale with salmon, which was another highlight.
Considering the quality of the food, the two appetizers, one main course and a couple of glasses of wine, a bill under $90 with the tip felt very reasonable. Our server was another positive aspect of the experience. They were knowledgeable about the menu and carried themselves with a confident and helpful demeanor.
Overall, this Italian Nuova restaurant offers a charming and welcoming environment with delicious food and attentive service at a good value. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and are definitely considering a return visit.

We were greeted by a friendly woman who showed us to our table. All the servers were attentive and welcoming — the service was excellent.

The food was absolutely delicious. We’ve tried fried calamari in many places, but it’s rare to find calamari as good as it is here.

We live in Addison, and there is a seafood restaurant near us, but it cooks nowhere near as well as this place.

This was our first time here, and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

The only small suggestion would be improving the interior design. The wood-fired pizza was also very tasty, and the prices are great for the quality of food.

Thank you

There’s no way that the positive reviews were written by real customers-they must have paid a company to write those.

It was like these people inherited the restaurant a month ago and have zero restaurant or customer service experience.

Was there a couple weeks ago and the food was average. More bad than average actually…..food was nothing special, not much flavor, bread was very bland and was served room temperature and the oil and herbs were not prepared, they just give you a decanter of plain olive oil and some cheap Wal-Mart parmesan cheese in a bowl and walk away.

And the customer service was atrocious. Even the owners are dismissive when you ask them a question-they just shrug, make a disrespectful comment to make the problem about you instead of acknowledging and fixing THEIR mistakes. They make you feel like it’s an honor for you to even be in their restaurant and you better keep your mouth shut because they don’t want to hear about their horrid service and food. They just blame you. It was absolutely bizarre and shameful how they treat their customers. The table next to mine got a bad tone of voice from them too.

Very condescending narcissists is the most accurate way to describe them. Probably the worst restaurant service I’ve experienced in about 10 or 15 years. The fact that they are still in business is shocking.

Avoid this place, even if someone offers to pay for your meal. It is that bad. Disgusting behavior.

Food was great and so was service! I felt like I was in a restaurant in Italy. The Chicken Parm, Minestrone Soup, and Tiramisu would be the dishes I recommend. This place above and behind our expectations. My husband loved the food so much, he ordered an extra entree!! Very fair prices too!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. From the minute we walked in, they were so kind and accommodating to my kids, which honestly means everything to me as a mom. Nothing felt like an inconvenience—just genuine patience and care.

The owners are incredibly generous and it shows in the way they run their restaurant. You can feel that it’s a place built on heart, not just good food. It’s rare to find people who go out of their way like that, and it didn’t go unnoticed.

We left feeling grateful, and that says a lot. We’ll definitely be back and I’ll always recommend this spot to anyone looking for a place that truly treats people well.

Having grown up in Chicago, but moved away, the food has been something I miss the most. I’m from an Italian family that had traditional Sunday spaghetti dinner and Grandma and Grandpa’s house.

To make a long story short, this place was everything I was looking for in Italian food and hometown ambiance for my visit. The staff was super nice and attentive. Awesome food that you won’t get at a more “modern” place. Absolutely recommend!!!
