Numan’s Cafe and Sports Bar is the largest bar in east Tennessee. We offer many beers on top, 2 full bars one on the first floor one upstairs. We have more than 20 pooltables, Karaoke, darts, pool leagues, and events almost every day of the week. Numans security is great! They make me feel safe and I go out knowing that I will be somewhere safe. They’re very attentive and help with any problems that you might have or that the bar has and I know that If I have any issues at all in there, I can count on them! ❤️

I went to Numan’s last week for the second time to give it another, because I wasn’t impressed the first time. The staff is nice… besides the security guard, Anthony trying to sleep with customers. Supposedly 2 in a month time period now… and tried to get me to go out with him. He also hits a weed vape in there but I heard customers weren’t allowed. Definitely don’t feel welcomed back with the lack of rules your security guards have.

Great place to shoot pool and chill. Downfall, I used to love their food. Last time I went, there were cockroaches all over the bar area. Love the staff, great energy, just need to get the bug problem fixed.

Been coming here for years
The new kid on security isn’t friendly and took forever with our ID’s because mine had an air bubble I guess? Just blatantly a jerk. The guy training him told him my ID was good and I was fine but he continued to just hold us there forever. Never had an issue like this.

1st time in Tennessee and wow!! 2 stories of a great atmosphere and amazingly friendly people. I absolutely had the best time here while visiting Tennessee. I’ve never seen a place that has a diverse range of people from age 21-70 all hanging out together and having the best time ever!

Wife and I are new to the late night bar scene. But we had a blast here. After going to several other ones prior to this, we told ourselves this was the last one we were going to before either going to Label or calling it a night and going home. Not only was the food really good, but my wife really enjoyed her drink which they called “Purple Unicorn”. She got a sub sandwich that she loved and likewise I got a burger, also loved. Following that, my wife gained the drunken courage to participate in the karaoke. She herself says “because I know in the morning I know I’ll regret it” lol. All in all, great experience, great service, great food, and great entertainment!

The bouncer was definitely racist. Been here a handful of times and never had a problem getting in, but last night was the first time I’ve encountered a problem. I already felt an uncomfortable glare from the bouncer as I walked in, and he made a big deal inspecting my ID. Straight up told me no and to get out without any explanation, even though my friend was allowed in, and her ID was barely looked at. A few guys tried to help me out by talking to the bouncer and encouraging him to scan my ID to prove it was real, but it was infuriating when he apologized to the guys instead of me for being rude. He made up a bad excuse, claiming that my ID looked “too clean” to be real, and how “there aren’t any dents or scratches on it even though I’ve had it for a long time”. He pointed out how the ID issued date was too recent to be real (2023). Let’s do some quick math. I was born in 2002, which means I turned 21 in 2023 and had to renew my license. Should make sense if you can count, right? I’m telling ya, this guy was sharp as a marble, nothing was gonna get past him. (I sure didn’t )
Anyway, if he was actually racist, then that’s quite disappointing and disgusting for this establishment. If he wasn’t, then I would advise you to make sure your ID is dinged up since he seems to be achingly strict about that. The bouncer was bald and smelled weird. It ain’t cute.

This place is historic if you know Johnson City. If you’ve ever been to Johnson City, you got to stop by one of the few places that you can still smoke a cigarette inside and be yourself every time I go there. No matter the distance in between times, I always get the same service. Bartenders are absolutely great. Security is absolutely great. People are awesome, especially Kara, one of my awesome bartenders. They always take care of me
